While possessed, Peach's skin turns a dull purple, her dress turns dark grey and gains a large, high-collared cloak, and the gems in her crown and jewelry turn red. Her facial expression appears menacing, and her eyelids are coated with purple eyeshadow.

"Shadow Queen (Peach)" is the name given to this form in the 2024 Nintendo Switch remake of the game. Prior to this, she was most commonly referred to as Shadow Peach by fans.
