Whenever the realistic outcome of a scenario occurs without any anticipation or set-up, and without the expectation that it would happen, usually used as a sort of comedic device. Examples of which would be unexpected injury due to absurd penetration, the inability to use tools designed for another species, semen not exactly tasting very good, common laws being enforced, public sex being generally frowned upon, and most importantly, awkward situations being appropriately awkward.
