Size tiering describes when characters or creatures are depicted with large differences in scale in a hierarchical format.
This tag is used in macro or micro scenarios in which there is a hierarchy of size difference or extreme size difference between three or more characters or entities. The actions of these characters are not important when depicting size tiering. For example, the characters could be looming, engaging in size play, or just in the background.
It is possible for an image to be considered size tiering with only two characters, but the implication of a third character or entity is still required. For example, this can be accomplished with a giga or terra macro character, and a building sized macro character who is standing in a city. The inclusion of the city implies that the smaller macro is still much larger than the inhabitants of the city, creating a hierarchy and fulfilling the requirement of a third character. This depiction of size tiering is possibly the most common.
Other examples of size tiering include normal sized characters in relation to progressively smaller micros, as well as images including a micro, normal sized character, and macro.
