Species: megalodon
Megalodon is an extinct species of massive mackerel shark that roamed the oceans during the early Miocene to the late Pliocene era, it was the largest shark to ever roam the earth, reaching approximately 60 tons. Formerly it was thought the great white shark was the closest living relative of the megalodon, but later studies found out that megalodon was more related to the otodontids which diverged the great white shark from the Early Cretaceous. These sharks may have hunted whales during it's time and also competed with the predatory toothed whale, Livyatan
