Princess Peach Toadstool, better known as simply Princess Peach, is one of the central characters in the Mario Bros. series of video games created by Nintendo. She made her first appearance in the 1985 NES game Super Mario Bros. and has appeared in nearly every other Mario series game since. She is a female human with fair skin, long blonde hair, and blue eyes. She is almost always seen wearing her trademark pink dress, round blue ear rings, and a gold crown on her head.

Princess Peach is the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, a peaceful land inhabited by Toads who serve her as royal retainers. In the main Mario series she is frequently kidnapped by Bowser in his schemes to take over the kingdom and has to be rescued by Mario. This means that she is usually non-playable in the main Mario series but in the various spinoff series including Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Super Smash Bros., she is playable alongside the rest of the Mario cast. As a playable character in various games, Peach has several unique abilities. These include the power to float in the air for a short time after a jump as well as pulling vegetables out of the ground to throw at enemies.
