Java != Javascript, BTW -- they basically have no relation to speak of. Yes, this is absurd.

I know that Java is not the same as Javascript, I meant about the fact that I can understand it... :I

I've adapted some JS to Java without much problems, though. Sometimes I prefer JS because is far more simple (you can assign an object to a variable that held a number or a string into a boolean)

And this is absurd? Maybe confusing one language with another but that story is for another day...

Oh, okay, sorry.. They actually get used interchangeably a lot, so I wasn't sure which you actually meant.

And this is absurd? Maybe confusing one language with another but that story is for another day...

Java and Javascript having no actual relation beside the name is what I was calling absurd.
(It's why Javascript got sort-of-renamed to ECMAScript, probably, but that hasn't stuck very well IMO)

feature request: when uploading an image: dont let me accidentally hit enter and submit an image with no source, no tags or anything. (basically: all I want is a confirmation dialog that checks that I'm finished.) I tend to use the box that checks if a tag is valid, and hit enter twice to bump it in, however, if I enter a tag manually (i know for a fact 2014 is a tag and don't need to search it) then i instinctively hit enter - also if I hold shift wrong when trying to do a new line.

In short: the ability to choose to disable form submission on enter (this is what I thought the "Submit current form on Ctrl+Enter" setting did, but apparently not)

I can't do that entirely, since some people (artists, for example) upload their own artwork here and make this like the original or first post of all their places. But I can possibly make them flash if something is missing.

The tags box is a bit different, because if there are no tags, tagme is automatically added (not by the script, though).

In short: the ability to choose to disable form submission on enter (this is what I thought the "Submit current form on Ctrl+Enter" setting did, but apparently not)

That only applies to textboxes where the formatting buttons are present. Like the comment/reply boxes. I think I should clarify that...

Really just a notification, or even a checkbox by the submit button that you have to check manually to upload the image. also: I meant as in the image has nothing, I understand many images don't have a source link, but i mean with all the boxes empty.

Yeah, that would be really helpful. or maybe extending the functionality to the upload page? nudge nudge wink wink.
I realize that you have other stuff to do, but I really would like to see this feature. (BTW: tinyAlias is the best thing ever. so many tags typed over and over now added with a single tag speeds up the process a lot)

Oh, ok! I thought you meant preventing upload if a box was empty. I have currently (in a non published script. I keep two files, the one I edit and make changes to and the one you get updates from - published) set it to check if the image is visible.

It's actually present there, in the Description box. Ctrl+Enter in it, and the post uploads.

actually, I don't have too much to do. I'm just here... takin' space :v

(BTW: tinyAlias is the best thing ever. so many tags typed over and over now added with a single tag speeds up the process a lot)

Thanks, but the idea is not mine. See forum #89046. Remember? The script takes some suggestions that are either not yet implemented or some that may require extra coding in the site.

It's me again, with a feature request :)

Ideas for the "Get Source" reverse image search provided by eSix Extend:
- a sub-menu in the eSix Extend settings that lets you select and de-select search engines. Reason: I never use TinEye or IQDB
- a "Search All" option that lets you use all search engines with a single click: Reason: there are many posts that I search for with Google, SauceNAO and Inkbunny (meaning I have to click "Get Source" twice 3 times)
- the "Get Source" menu could open when you hover the mouse over it, like the "Source" field under the heading "Statistics" in the left sidebar. That would save one click :)

Hmm, that actually opens the possibility of a customized list. Maybe just for simple URLs (like "http://[searchengine]/search/images?url=[image url]"). Unless there aren't more search engines that look for images...

- a "Search All" option that lets you use all search engines with a single click: Reason: there are many posts that I search for with Google, SauceNAO and Inkbunny (meaning I have to click "Get Source" twice 3 times)

"Twice three times"? er... anyway... like an extra option?

Edit: Derp. You said it. I think I can add that, though. /Edit

- the "Get Source" menu could open when you hover the mouse over it, like the "Source" field under the heading "Statistics" in the left sidebar. That would save one click :)

That currently could be possible if the post in question is being used as an avatar. Right now, the script requests the post's sample image URL to pass it to the search engine. I'll leave it that way, since it's faster. It'll also open up when hovered if it has been clicked previously

Damn, I can't believe that this tab was open for like two days... fortunately, my brother didn't close anything/turned off my laptop

For whatever reason the script refuses to remember that I'm not a new user when I log in and pops up that "hey you should configure me!" startup message. Even though I hit the checkbox to prevent it from popping that up in the future it still does it when I: 1) log in or 2) navigate to certain site pages (mainly forums). It appears to save my settings, just not the fact that I have actually set it up.

Thoughts?

Uh... it's probably that you have Local Storage disabled (also known as WebStorage). I'm trying to save the settings in cookies* in case LS isn't available...

*: As originally planned but didn't want to load e6's servers with "unknown" data. I know it will reject it anyway, but still, gotta be clean :)

Oh! Also, I've improved compatibility with the new in-page posting system. Pressing Ctrl+Enter will now act as if you clicked on "Post"!

It only just started doing this today so I'm not sure what's changed since I haven't done any browser/add-on/system updates that would affect this. :\

Then that might be a temporary hiccup. That usually happens on my phone, when it has low memory, so it doesn't store the settings or just deletes them. But never in a browser. What browser are you using? Do you have any logs at hand?

Furaffinity search --> support for direct FA preview links

Sometimes, posts have direct FA preview links as the source. Example:
Source: http://t.facdn.net/[email protected]

The link to the image on FA is:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12214892/[/quote]

Wow, FA has a lot of urls, right? :O

Added that along with many other fixes. I'll be posting the new update since I've yet to find a way to integrate the tag autocomplete feature...

Updated by anonymous

Sorry peeps, having internet (and some personal) problems lately... anyhoot!

[07/18/14] Version 2.893 (Code 180714, +6401)

  • Added a new check that confirms if another instance of this script is installed. If it is, the script will not run. Currently useless, since this is the first version that implements it, but should work in the future. I hope.

DNP Database. When tagging, the script will now notify if an artist or copyright in the tags is DNP.
Fixed settings handling. Again. No more "trying", it will actually check if the settings contain parentheses (beginning and end, like Version 140401 did) and act accordingly. Why I didn't do that in first place!?
Removed the second prompt for the "New user"/"Settings outdated", including the "Don't show again" at the first prompt.
Increased the width for forum posts and comments and reply boxes are now aligned with the comments list.
Changed the appearance of the preview functions. Previewing comments won't look as an actual comment while hinting that it is a preview.
Reorganized some style declarations (grouping them) in the CSS Fixes the script does.
Added some spaces here and there to improve code readability.
Fixed a small but annoying bug (at least for me) where the blacklist editor tried to count digits and replace them for question marks while counting the remaining characters (kinda hard to explain).
Removed sliding animations on the panes at the settings page to give place to a more compact and general piece of code.
Clarified a few settings a bit.
Set the subscriptions list to show one more item to accommodate to the new pool preview.
Now you can "Keep" subscriptions to pools. This means that when looking for updates, the script will skip the ones you've decided to keep, making the "being considerate" bit somewhat redundant (but still applies!)
When showing the results after counting the scores in your comments, they will now show the actual comment (experimental! Might not last till the next update)
Added check for "Get Source" to direct link for FurAffinity's thumbnails and menu will now open automatically when hovered with the mouse if it was clicked before [forum #133132]
Improved compatibility with the new in-page posting system. Pressing Ctrl+Enter will now do the same as if you have clicked the "Post" button. In some cases, a new window will appear with the comment posted (fixing this)
Removed an useless assignation when creating the formatting buttons. It was superseded by a new function that takes care of creating and makes it simpler (script devs, you can take a look at it on lines 2612-2526 :) )
Improved cookie and query parsers in favor of using "eval()" less (and probably making them a bit faster).
Navigation buttons should now appear when clicking "Read" (or the new "Keep" button) while viewing a post.
On the same conditions, the "Read"/"Keep" buttons should also appear on posts that are on multiple pools (each pair in a pool's indicator).
Removed username linking when quoting in blips since they are character limited (every one is valuable!).

Wow, so many changes! Or am I becoming forgetful? Because I feel some of these where mentioned already in the previous change log. I updated, right? ...fuck!

I'm also trying to figure out how to integrate tag autocomplete...

Edit: Since apparently I can't think straight lately I've been thinking about dicks and getting it in the butt*, there's a tiny chance that something is broken. So far, I've had no problems... ymmv...

  • Kidding. Don't take that seriously! At least my humor is still working.

Updated by anonymous

Kidding, this update adds tiny decorative elements in relation to page contents.

[08/03/14] Version 2.895 (Code 030814, +504b)

  • When viewing the posts listing, a small flag icon ( ⚑ ) will appear on flagged thumbnails at their lower right corner, giving a hint to FFD'd but unapproved posts. (where borders can't be mixed)

Faving a post will now add a ♥ to the tab's title (or window, for those traditional people). Likewise, if you visit a faved post, the same hint will appear at the window's title. Unfaving will remove it.
Fixed the small bug were pressing Ctrl+Enter would open a new tab/window in parts where posting wasn't done in-page.
Still no dice in integrating autocomplete :/

Well, yeah... uh, not many changes this time :I
post #386061

Promise I'll have more later... Also! Fun fact: This script is a month near it's birthday! :3

Feature requests:
A "Ready" checkbox on the bottom of the upload page that prevents uploading unless it's ticked.
(misc.) The sort button could auto-remove duplicate tags.

Bug:
Once again, the script decided not to work when using the bookmarklet to upload posts. Tampermonkey says it's running, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Nothing in the console, either.

The checkbox could be a bit annoying for some. Will add a setting that includes it, sort of like double checking, right?

(misc.) The sort button could auto-remove duplicate tags.

Sorting didn't remove duplicates? I thought it did

It was a small bit that prevents the script from running in json, xml or full view image pages. It's fixed by now :)

thank the man who created breaking on first script's statements!

Today I ate chocolate and had an epiphany where I realized that it was time to release the new update! Well, not really, but I still ate chocolate :3

[09/08/14] Version 2.9 (Code 090814, +8142b)

  • Updated DNP Database to the most recent revision ( This one, #245 )

DNP Database now contains conditional dnp artists (mrawl and smittyg for now since I didn't know how to put the others. Accepting suggestions!)
Added a new default custom link to this thread (available for the new users)
Cleaned up and reworded a bit the "New user" and "Settings outdated" messages. For those who have logging enabled, a small message will appear below the UserBar.
Fixed preview box on the compose dmail page, it will now look like the others!
Major redesign on the settings page

    • Reworded some texts and made them more clear (to what my knowledge of English allows me)

Check boxes look nicer and are two lined (like Android's app settings)
Expandable/Collapsible sections (they remember their state, too!)
Renamed "Pool Navigation" to "Hotkeys"
Placing your mouse will now highlight settings! Useful when you want to reorder your custom links!
New "About" section! It contains a small message plus details about the version you're using and the usage of WebStorage

  • Corrected a small layout error when previewing pool subscriptions

Added a check for accidental tagging [forum #134554]
Sorting tags will now remove duplicates [same as above]
Three new hotkeys: "Fave/Unfave post" (F), "Upvote post" (T) and "Downvote post" (Y). Configurable on the settings page.
Removed scrolling hiccup and empty space left when "Enhanced notifications" is enabled.
Removed [userLV] replacement tag since it seemed of no use (if it did, please notify me)
Tags are now counted automatically and shown before any keystroke when editing posts
"Get Source" will now be underlined after the first click or when a thumbnail of the same post is visible, hinting that it is available by hovering it
You can now choose whether decorational icons in the title bar are visible
Removing a name from the list of recently DMailed users won't dismiss it anymore
Fixed Object to JSON String parsing. It now converts arrays to strings correctly (dev related but still worth mentioning)
Now you can support the dev!! (dat be me :3 )

So much changes! How about that, huh? Told ya that it would be more changes on this new version! A lot, by the way. I should eat chocolates more often... dunno why though, I just ate one today.

Also Chrissycanbeasexyponewhensheproposesit :3

Edit: Derp. Update to version 2.9a: this fixes a small bit of text I forgot to remove that prevents checkboxes do their thing

Edit 2: Derp again. Update to version 2.9b: Having "Confirm tagging" enabled, would not allow ANY kind of keystroke and won't let you tag. Fixed.

Edit 3: Get version 2.9c which fixes "Common tags" not appearing when having "Confirm Tagging" enabled. I should pay more attention. Like, seriously. If another bug appears, I'll eat a bug post a picture of my hands

Updated by anonymous

Bugs:

  • Can't see the "Flagged" flag, only an "unknown character" square. Like this.

Feature requests:

  • New reverse image search link to the Get Source list: iqdb.harry.lu/?url=[img_url] Nope, that's not a source finder. That's a dupe finder.
  • Add the option to restrict the "Ready" checkbox to only appear on the upload page (so quick tag edits can still be done quickly while still preventing premature image uploads).
  • (misc.) Making changes on the Edit / Upload form could untick the "Ready" checkbox. Maybe.

Suggestions:

  • Speed up Get Source menu loading by checking out the reverse image search links on the post page. They actually contain the link to the image thumbnail.
  • Change line #21.

From

if(/(data)?\.(json|xml|png|jpg|gif|swf)/.test(window.location)) return;

to

if(/(data)?\.((json|xml)|(png|jpg|gif|swf)$)/.test(window.location)) return;

This way, I can put an "&" to the end of the bookmarklet to make the script work with it.

This.
It usually takes a few seconds for the Get Source menu to pop up, and IMHO a user interface should react immediately, if possible.

That's because I'm using Unicode. I knew that it wouldn't show correctly for some but decided against using embedded images. The only embedded image is the script's icon.

Oh, dangit! Why I never thought about it! It even has the MD5 of the post!

I had some problems with that RExp trying to match the correct URLs, so I'll be using your suggestion instead :)

Btw, sorry for the delay in replying but got kinda stuck in fixing that rexp... I admit that I can be a bit stubborn sometimes >_>

'Sup! Here's the new changelog! :)

[19/08/14] Version 2.91 (Code 190814, +3417 B)

  • Changed the whole versioning system. No more "downgrading" to get the new update! Old version counting will keep going, visible at Settings > About section (this should work, I'm experimenting)

Changed the check that doesn't let the script run on direct image previews/data requests. Using suggestion from forum #135551
Fixed some layout errors in the UserBar
The subscriptions counter in the UserBar will be hidden if the subscriptions list (both for pools and forums) is empty
Having two or more custom links with almost the same letters? Don't know which one is which? Worry no more! This version improves that section to include a second letter if one already exists!
Added two nukes. Remove pools/forums: Removes all of the subscribed pools/forums from the list. You will need to save your changes in case of curiosity, so you won't lose anything by accident
The usage of WebStorage will now take everything, not just the names this script stores. This will display a more accurate value.
Added a neat sliding-out effect to the "Settings saved!" message
New settings:

    • Display the fave count: This will toggle showing fave count on the UserBar

Allow quick tagging: See forum #135551 for info
Now you can choose whether expanding the "Get Source" menu by clicking it or just hovering over it

  • Reworded a setting name so it is more clear **

Removed a redundant conversion on the Subscriptions list (used to take a String, convert it to Object and then a String again. Dumb, right?)
Pressing the Del key on the Subscriptions List will remove the selected item from it!
Removed delay in "Get Source" menu by taking information that is already on the page. Underline effect is now useless and was removed [forum #135551] *
Fixed small bug where the downvote arrow won't show even when viewing a downvoted post
The "Check for subscriptions even when viewing posts" is now respected while in previous versions, the updater ignored it
Improved setting saving: options that will no longer be used (deprecated) will now be stripped
Removed old debug line that was executed when saving settings
Added more feedback when navigating posts in a pool
Faved, Voted up and Voted down icons will now show correctly when viewing a post

Yup, many fixes, some additions, much happy!

Oh, something to point out: some settings will have a child option. These will have a wider line in the bottom and their child will be shown when its parent is checked

*Dude, I'll have to give you a prize for appearing that many times!
**Like really, "Include all posts in the Common Tags list when looking for tags" is way more understandable than "Include tags with the same count as visible posts in a search in Common Tags"

Updated by anonymous

Thanks for the new version.
I <3 how fast the Get Source menu is now!

edit:
The Get Source menu only works for Inkbunny search now :-(
- Google => "The URL doesn't refer to an image, or the image is not publicly accessible."
- TinEye => "URL could not be reached."
- SauceNAO => "Specified file no longer exists on the remote server!"
- IQDB => "HTTP request failed: 404 Not Found."

---

By the way, the eSix Extend download page still shows an old version number:
eSix Extend - V2.891 (Code 060614)

Whoops! I forgot to change that one! n_n; Since I don't have an actual automated update system besides Google Drive, I have to update them one by one... I sometimes forget to change one or the other but the script file is the important one :)

But since it seems it's only affecting my main Computer, I´ll try and clear the Cache and the Cookies when I got the time.

javascript:(function(){window.localStorage.clear();})()

on your address bar and press enter (make sure the "javascript" part doesn't get deleted)

Edit: Tested and I got no errors, so an error log will be useful.

[20/08/14] Version 2.92 (Code 200814, +3097 B)

  • Updated DNP Database to version 247

Fixed welcome messages not respecting user preference [forum #135924]
Having no subscriptions should now hide the subscriptions counter
Changed appearance of checkbox preferences with child options to have a down-left pointing arrow instead of a wider line. This should give a better hint
Added a new indicator for the subscriptions list. A filled box means that you're keeping that pool
With the idea of having a responsive UI, load time of both pool and forum subscriptions, has been optimized reducing it to just the delay of the preview [forum #135580]
Forum subscriptions will now show the name of the last user who replied
Small feedback when subscribing to a forum
Fixed "Get Source" links pointing to a non-existent version of the image [forum #135919]
Items will now be highlighted on the "Recent Updates" box

So, that's for today tonight! I was going to say something else but forgot...

I've just noticed...

bug: The default keys for upvoting a post and to stop reading a pool are the same (G).

Also, resetting settings to their defaults doesn't clear subscriptions (understandable) and doesn't reset Quick Access links. Is this intentional?

I could have sworn I changed it to use B... and apparently I did in vain (oh, me) because internally they do (both point to the key code for G)

Also, resetting settings to their defaults doesn't clear subscriptions (understandable) and doesn't reset Quick Access links. Is this intentional?

Sort of. Since they're stored separately, the reset button doesn't clear them. It just resets your general settings and hotkeys and clears TinyAliases.

I only just installed this, so I could be overlooking how to do this. But I see hotkeys for voting, faving, and pool navigation (for reading). I was hoping there was a way to set up using a hotkey to go straight into editing an image's tags. Instead of having to scroll down past the tag-list/image to find the "edit" button, if I could access that at the press of a hotkey that would be nice. Is that possible to add (or maybe already possible and I'm overlooking it)?

Yeah and no. 'Yeah', it's possible to add and 'no' because the option does not exist (yet!)

The update should come in a few days, though (tomorrow at most). I'm still doing some cleanup and teeny tests here and there (mostly cosmetic details by now) making sure it doesn't fall apart. Plus the time I'll take adding the new hotkey, testing and making sure it's all right....

Yeah, expect it around tomorrow! :)

I might be wrong, but it seems the "whole check box when ready" isn't working. Second time I've uploaded something without checking it.

Edit: Tried it now with checked box and yup it's also gets directly uploaded.

Hmmm... I'll have to check that... heh, git it? :P

I would like to have full or adjustable tags instead of single letters on the userbar personally :x

The blacklist feature is my main reason for using it personally, it's a little glitchy at times though, I posted a couple of new blacklist objects and looked at my list to find they were fragmented (i.e going across multiple lines which breaks it entirely)

Overall it's a nice little tool that I'm probably underusing :p

Awesome! I look forward to it.

Also, this may be a weird request, but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask. I noticed that the script does this cosmetic thing of adding highlights and shadows to the edges of comment boxes, forum post boxes, blips, most site boxes, etc. (And it does make it look cool, make no mistake). But is there a way a setting can be added to turn that on or off? Because I'm a little contrast sensitive, and things that heighten the contrast around text exacerbate my dyslexia and make it very difficult to read/eventually give me a headache/make my eyes skip around the page/scramble my ability to read. End result, I have to toggle the script off to read the forums/comments/blips comfortably, and then toggle it back on to use it. I know I might well be the only person on the site who has this specific set of problems, so it's a little selfish to ask. I feel silly asking. But if there was a setting to turn those highlights/shadows off then it would make my life a whole lot easier. The script is so useful, I'd rather be able to leave it on all the time, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Alright, I checked it lel, pun and had no problems with it... However, I found a problem where it wouldn't let you upload when pressing enter on the tags box (without adding any tag)

Fragmented? Oh! Yeah, the quick blacklist function works only on individual tags

There may be probably more but you're the one who stood up! *claps*
Hmmm, I'd have to check individual changes but I think it could be done quickly (most resize or adjust appearance)

So you mean tags with underscores get broken?

e.g. "dungeons_and_dragons" was a notable one that refused to work :x

It's still there. It's now a setting that toggles whether hovering or clicking to display it

@furrypicle: Mind showing me exactly what highlights you mean? The few ones the script makes are the top line and when it's a comment of yours (well, the most prominent). I had to check one by one and that's all I could see...

There's a white highlight on the top border of most text boxes, and then there's darker "shadow" edges on the undersides of text boxes. In the forums, blips, comments etc it's especially contrasting because the top-highlight and the bottom-shadow are right next to each other whenever there's more than one comment (which is most of the time). The shadowed edge effect is also on the bottom and righthand edges of quoted sections, so I guess it's just on most text-section boxes on the site.
It's hard to explain it, so I'll try and point it out:
http://i.imgur.com/l1V1bWY.png?1 --where both the highlights and the shadows are on forum threads. The comment pages and blips are also the same.

http://i.imgur.com/KnCpWLh.png --shadows are also on the edges of the alias/implication-info box on wiki articles
http://i.imgur.com/nVbu8uF.png --it even is around the edges of the forum page box, and page numbers.

Derp. I guess it's mainly just the top-edge highlight that emphasizes the pre-existing shadows. I don't know why it seemed like the shadowed parts were new. I guess the highlight just tipped it over the edge into "too much" contrast when it was already probably borderline. So yeah, sorry for the slightly bad explanations. I guess it's just the highlight that's giving me grief.

Yup, the shadows have been there since ever. But I've also considered making the highlight color a bit more faint ( to , in Hexagon theme). In fact, I've finished the update and I'm preparing the changelog right now :)

Ever tried Hexagon clean? The Highlight would still be there, but the shadows are not. Maybe it helps a little.

Oink, oink! - "Good news everyone! A new update is now ready and in the next lines you will see all of the changes made since the last version, so make sure you have the latest!" in pig :3

[28/08/14] Version 2.93 (Code 280814, +3104 B)

  • Updated DNP Database to version 247

Changed the header to be always the same size on every theme (fixes it being tiny with Bloodlust theme)
Changed Pool navigation indicators to look more like keys and not plain labels
Saving your settings should now update the usage of WebStorage
Added new settings:

    • Key layout: Choose between (two, at the moment) keyboard layouts to display the right characters for some keys (for example: I have 'Ñ' instead of ';', so that's a small problem for me)

Edit: Displays the Edit Post form. Similar as clicking "Edit" below a post [forum #136585]

Removed a, now unused, function in the settings button
Added a symbol table, as an effort to display correctly even more keys. Unknown keys will display their code instead
Reworded some settings to have better sense
Fixed a bug where "Confirm Tagging" wouldn't let upload/save changes after pressing "Enter"
Fixed another bug that prevented blacklisting tags with symbols other than undesrcore ("_") by splitting them, making them uneffective [forum #136626 / forum #136675]
Removed skipping effect for centered floating panels (Welcome/Settings messages, Subscription updates, etc). They should now appear in place
Subscriptions panel should now appear once even when the updates indicator was clicked repeatedly
(V2.931) Fixed bug where pressing the hotkey to edit a post would let a stray letter slip in the tags (an 'e' by default) [PM / forum #136924]

There it is! Tonight's update! There may still be some bugs here or there, so don't hesitate to inform me if you see one!

That actually makes a huge difference, thanks for that! It also looks like Xch3l has toned down the highlight color with the update, and between the two everything is a lot easier to read now. Thank you very much for suggesting the other theme. I think the only time I'd sampled that theme I'd been on a page of thumbnails, so I didn't realise the difference with the shadows.

Looks nice. I swear the top highlight is a softer color now, (though if I'm imagining it, we can just laugh about it). I just know it doesn't make my eyes skip like it used to (even on regular Hexagon), and when compared to an older window I had up, it looks a little less bright. So thank you. It really makes a big difference.

The hotkey for editing is awesome. The only issue is that it does add the "e" from the hotkey into the tag editing box. So I have to make sure I delete that errant "e" before typing in tags. I don't know if that's avoidable or not. It's still worth the convenience of having a hotkey for it though, so I'm more than happy.

Hello updates, my old friends. I've come to post to you again! Because some bugs were softly creeping, took 'em out and it should be okay ♪

[03/09/14] Version 2.932 (Code 140903, +5291)

  • Added a smooth glow to edited forum posts. It shouldn't conflict anymore when highlighting your comments is enabled

Changed a word on the settings pane
While viewing a subscribed forum, parsing of the last comment's id was improved
Reordered the list of places where formatting buttons should appear
Also, formatting buttons are now available while filing reports!
Commemorative easter egg!

Yup, some more cosmetic changes! And about that easter egg, can you find it? "Commemorative?", you ask. "Find out!" I say! :D

Also, in case you were wondering, yes, that was The Sound of Silence

Edit: If you've donated, please do tell (preferably via PM - Privacy, Man!). Since it's the first and only time I've done this, I'm not sure if that is working correctly, Thank you!

Thank you! Yeah, I know it doesn't look like much time, but still. In fact, there was a time where this project stalled. When I picked up this thread again, it was to announce the compatibility with GreaseMonkey, then everything spiked! If you look at the timestamps from the first page, you'll notice that there's a gap between posts...

You're kidding right? eSix Extend is awesome! And I think the amount of work you've put into it really shows even with just a cursory glance. I only really started browsing the forums and posting stuff here after I downloaded and installed your script, mostly because it made everything so much more accessible. Honestly I don't feel like this site is complete without it. I could go on and on about how much I like it, but I think you get the idea.

I actually took forever to try the script, but it really makes the site ten times better. And it integrates so nicely with the site itself, that I have to actually turn it off to remember which things are actually part of the site and which things are there because of your lovely script. The added features just belong there and are so handy. So I agree with Tokaido about how useful it is. I use it constantly. It's very intuitive, and any issues get resolved promptly...which is well worth it's weight in gold as well. So, from my perspective, it looks awesome. But that's just my two cents.

I noticed something weird:
When I search for post #528622 with eSix Extend's "Get Source - Google", it doesn't find anything.
But when I search for it with Search by Image for Google, it finds 20 results (all except 3 are false positives, though).

Well, looking at the time it sure does look like a lot. I mean, so much things can happen in two years, but looking at the script... well, for me, it isn't really much. It does have a lot of features (I forgot how many... 10 last I counted) but yeah, bugs happen and that takes time too... (like the huge deal the updater system was >_<) I still have to optimize it... all bugs must be gone! >:)

Just discovered that the hotkey function doesn't respond/work on uploads that have the new webm format. Not very many of them yet so here's a link to one of them: https://e621.net/post/show/529609

The hotkeys are still working fine everywhere else, so it's just the new webm format that somehow interferes with them. Not a big deal yet, but thought you'd want the jump on it before the format became more common.

Well, it doesn't interfere. Since there wasn't any webm files as the time of the update, I couldn't add it to the list of allowed pages (internally, the script looks at a list and if it's on it runs whatever I had on it). But I'll take a look at both cases (webm, and Munk's case) as soon as I get home*

Ah ok, I guess the good news is that sounds like a much easier fix than my guess would have been. And no worries, just when you have the time. (It's not very urgent.) And good luck with your classes/tutoring session!
