"What does that character do? The character is hanging it's tail/hand/etc."

The first one is passive action by the character. The latter one is active.

hmm, maybe both words actually work both ways depending on how they're placed into a sentence

ways of describing the post
"that character is being hung by their wrists" present tense, active

-the active, ongoing process of hanging the character over the pot

"that character was hung by their wrists" past tense, passive

-the character was strung up and just left to hang, the present would then be considered a passive process

"that character is hanging by their wrists" present tense, active

-actively hanging by trying not to get scalded, would be even more true if they were holding the rope instead of tied by their wrists

"that character was left hanging by their wrists" present tense, passive

-"welp, this is my life now..."

I find myself having discovered three different sets ... but none of a character being voluntarily suspending themselves...

afaict suspension, the "hanging_by*" tags, and probably even hanged could be used for/have posts with voluntary/self inflicted hanging

Certainly, a character may get hung/hanged/suspended by their own means alone, and in several images it cannot be told, if this is the case, although often a person assumes otherwise. But the distinction is in whether the character needs to self continue to sustain the suspension, and actively hang/cling, or if the character is only seen as hanged/hung where they are.

Is there a tag for stuff *like* blowjobs etc that occure primarily due to vore, aka Vorejobs?

Stuff like these
https://e621.net/post/show/1997515/absurd_res-ambiguous_gender-balls-big_penis-blush-

https://e621.net/post/show/1991302/2019-absurd_res-ambiguous_gender-anthro-anus-armor

https://e621.net/post/show/681009/-2015-3-animal_genitalia-animal_penis-anthro-anus-

https://e621.net/post/show/234849/alligator-alligatorid-animal_print-balls-belly-big

and possibly this but not necessarily

https://e621.net/post/show/2018970/ambiguous_gender-ambiguous_pred-anthro-blush-bodil

A lot of that stuff could technically be a tongue job, but that moreso applies to stuff like this https://e621.net/post/show/1884949/1-1-ambiguous_focus-ambiguous_gender-claws-duo-for than having your entire body touching the tongue as well. And honestly I think tagging "blowjob" doesn't really cut it lol.

Is there a tag for "hip crease"/"thigh crease"? When you can see where the top of the thigh meets the hip while clothed, such as with some loincloth or slit_dress styles. For example post #1901721

I think v-cut may be what you're looking for (pertaining to the "hip/thigh crease" description), though it is not limited to clothed characters only.

mmm, a v-cut appearance is caused by muscle definition though. this just looks like the crease between the thigh and groin/abdomen being accentuated by the leg being slightly raised/tucked in/plump. searching around maybe thighbrow or hip_cleavage might be terms that are close to what you're describing. if you asked me what that part of the body is called without context I'd probably call it a groin_crease but that doesn't sound very sexy

Might need additional input from other folks on this topic, as several v-cut examples don't seem to be muscular at all (v-cut -muscular). However the wiki description indirectly implies some amount of musculature is needed from it's wording, but doesn't directly states this.

Wiki for 'v-cut':

The v-cut (also known as apollo's belt, adonis belt, iliac furrow, inguinal crease and v-muscle) is a distinctive v-shape besides and below the abs formed by the inguinal ligaments. Their particular shape and angle serve to draw attention to the crotch.

Additionally, I know pubic_mound is for the area directly above the genitals, but I don't know if v-cut could be accurately applied to the creases on either side of the pubic_mound. The wiki could use some additions for clarity on this and whether or not a character needs to be muscular too some degree.

found it: crotch_lines

the Wikipedia link on the v-cut wiki gives a good idea of what it's supposed to look like. a google image search returns pretty much nothing but muscular/cut torsos. a distinction between standard crotch lines and a v-cut, besides muscularity and definition, seems to be that the lines continue up into the obliques area

In that case should v-cut be implicated to crotch_lines?

hard to say, but I'd err on the no side of things. v-cut can get tagged when a character is wearing pants for just the part that runs through the abdominals and into the obliques.

seems that if the lines are just around the crotch they're crotch lines, if they continue on but go benieth the hip bone they're still crotch lines, but if they go up and out over the hip bones they qualify as a v-cut. as "apollo's belt" is the name of it on wikipedia, it may stand to reason that the part of the groove that is at waist height is the defining feature of the term.

on a different note crotch_lines seems to be rather severely undertagged. probably good to connect it to v-cut as a "not to be confused with" and add them both to the anatomy pages/tag_groups

I had to search a while for a tag specific to ejaculate squrting out of a hole until I found gushing, which didn't have a page, but enough results that I thought I'd create one. However, the term seems rather generic and overlaps with the more common but less specific "cum_overflow" tag, which is also used rather inconsistently... I need to find more opinions on this tag so that it might see consistent and worthwhile use, such as renaming it to something more specific.

Edit: cum_expulsion is exactly the tag I was looking for, which completely deprecates gushing... HEY JANNY

Is there a tag for species/characters that were designed for a game/cartoon/movie/show/comic (etc.) but never made it into the final product? If not, I think one should be made.

Example: Half-Life's Kingpin enemy.

I don't think so, we usually just tag the unused characters how they're referred to as and whatever series that they belong to.

Maybe not the best place to ask, but I figured I'd give it a shot before creating my own thread: is there a way mark a tag as a character's name?

I generally do it by writing "character:[tag here]". Same with copyright, artist, etc.
That being said, if a tag is already being used you need to go into the tags section (listed in the header), find the tag, and change it there. You can only do it in the way listed above when it's the first time the tag is added (as far as I'm aware).

Not sure if this is the right topic, but occasionally I stumble upon characters which are hybrids of certain species.

For example post #1706440 which is a hybrid of the Pokémon Delphox and ...a dog? Anyway, it's difficult to recognize it as Delphox, because the only trait of that Pokémon is "fluffy hair growing out character's ears". Which could be also an artistic idea for the furry character.

Is there already a tag for blocking this kind of characters?

The wiki page about hybrid does not state a clear rule about it.

it's just artist's style, and artists not sticking 100% with official art style does not warrant for hybrid tag.

Is there a tag for the hole in clothes made for the tail to come out of and possibly fingering/penetrating through it? I saw a great example with a shark character a while back and I tried to find it as and example but couldn't. tail_hole is just changed to anus.

tail_clothing and tail_button_bottoms is the closest tag I can think of. Stuff like that would be under the umbrella of furgonomics.

throw in humanoid if you are looking for a plant_girl instead of bulbasaur.

Depending on the post, there's several possible tags that could be used, but plant and plant_sex would definitely be applicable.

Along with flora_fauna, there's also plant_humanoid, tentacle_plant/plant_tentacles, plant_vore, and plant_rape, but each of these depend on the post being tagged.

It's a type of head crest. Speaking of which, scaled crests imho wouldn't be that bad to make its own distinct tag, which would theoretically imply both scales and head crest.

The more frill like head crest is the head frill, feathers are feathered crest, and the fleshy chicken "cockscomb" type is comb (anatomy).

I've been combing thru the 'egg' tag, adding 'oral_oviposition' where appropriate. I commented on a recent post that got a lot of downvotes, and the uploader/artist created the tag for me. I'm still new to the specifics of the site, and I may be overdoing it, but I REALLY NEEDED that tag, to blacklist it, since anal oviposition is a big kink of mine, but oral is the opposite. I created a wiki entry to describe more concretely what 'oral_oviposition' includes, but since I can't edit the wiki page (maybe I just can't find the link? Am very noob), I'm a bit sad it will forever have a shitty wiki entry that I dashed off in 10 minutes. :/

Related to the background above - I'm thinking of making a new tag for 'eggs that are being cooked as food' since I see things where characters are having breakfast, and that's a far cry from facehuggers. Any idea what that should be called? 'eggs_for_breakfast' or something?

I think the idea is of that of someone being forced to have sex regardless of gender. The other person isn’t necessarily raped. The blackmail tag comes to mind but a tag for this specific action could be a thing

If you're being forced to have sex, it's rape, regardless of circumstance. Just because they're using blackmail to keep from having to literally pin you down, overpower you, and make you fuck them, doesn't make it any more consensual.

Is there a tag or term for something that happens willingly, but can't be stopped? Not exactly forced on them, but not something they have control over after a certain point. Something like this post for example, where a character willingly instigates a transformation, but loses the faculties to be able to say stop (if it was even possible, due to being started by external magical forces). Or another example being somnophilia, where a character may have given permission while awake, but be unable to stop it while it's happening due to being asleep.
