In case of e9(other number that I don't remember) that same question
Was it the Monosodium glitamate?
EUROPÉEN PARLIAMENT
europe has e numbers which is a catogorization system for food additives used by the eu and the uk, and monosodium glutamate's e number is e621
i don't know the e6 lore for sure, but given Monosodium glutamate (often refered to as msg) and it's reputation, i wouldn't be surprised if site's name is meant to be a self-own about how cringe furries are (or are at least perceived to be)
though i personally think that msg can still be analogous to this site and the furry fandom as a whole: both monosodium glutamate and anthropomorphism are both styles. msg can make food taste better, and a lot of people like the furry style. and both can make some things more palatable. for better or for worse
As for e926, that's the e number for a bleach, chlorine dioxide as our e926 has "bleached" out the Questionable and Explicit stuff.
Updated
E621 is a reference to sodium glutamate, which in its self is a reference to the saltiness of the user base.
MSG is used as a flavor enhancer that brings out the meaty, savory taste of food; ie. it's the "taste good" ingredient. Since the site has a lot of meat that, considering how much gets into characters' mouths, is apparently quite tasty, the name of e621 was bestowed upon it.
Got to love how it was known this site would be salty from day one lol

I dunno, MSG isn't exactly salty. It's specifically umami, which is alot more difficult to describe honestly.

They call it savory.
