create alias x-mas (6) -> christmas (33807)

Reason: Just as xmas has been aliased to Christmas, so ought x-mas (with a hyphen) be so aliased.

Fun fact: The X in Xmas isn't the English letter X. It's the Greek letter X (khi), the first letter of Χρῑστός (Khrīstós), used as an abbreviation. Furthermore, you know that old movie cliché of illiterate people signing their names with an X? Same thing there. It used to be a real thing a long while ago, when most people were illiterate anyway. Instead of using their names, they signed with a Greek X to show their piety.

A cross (✝) is also a symbol of death-by-torture, so some people actually object to it, not to mention idolatry issues. There's a similar story about 's' looking like 'f'. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_s

The funny bit about '╳' (or variants) is that it's also the minimal symbol to remotely show any uniqueness of handwriting. The angle and ratio of the lines could become habitual or dependent on anatomy. We still require a literate witness.

Time travelers? [Shrug.]

I think 2021 and/or 2022 was similar.

create alias digitalartist (2) -> digital_media_(artwork) (1289595)
create alias digital_draw (1) -> digital_drawing_(artwork) (176415)
create alias album_art (7) -> album_cover (644)
create alias conceptart (3) -> concept_art (1490)
create alias bodyart (3) -> body_art (85)
create alias palworld_fanart (1) -> palworld (4458)
create alias not_my_art (1) -> invalid_tag (-9)

Reason: Just tossing some miscellaneous junk found while looking at art related tags into here. Didn't feel they warranted their own thread, they're pretty straightforward.

not_my_art needs to go to invalid.

create alias humanoide (3) -> humanoid (450361)

Reason: On tonight's random aliases, removing a misspelling. While humanoide hasn't been mistagged a lot, it has been made a few times, going back a few years by a few different Users.

Annoyingly, the majority of, if not all of those aren't humanoids by our definition.

create alias boundless_emission (9) -> excessive_cum (39779)

Reason: Emissions could be used to refer to things other than cum, but as it is currently used (see boundless_emission) it's just used for that

Aliasing to excessive cum instead of hyper cum to prevent mistags. alias #58057 will have to be rejected before I can suggest alias endless_cum -> excessive_cum

I think I agree with the argument in topic #34540 that endless_cum would be a more accurate tag name for infinite_cum.

create alias half_body (7) -> half-length_portrait (19975)
create alias half_body_sketch (2) -> half-length_portrait (19975)

Reason: Aliasing half_body and half_body_sketch to the established meta tag for these kinds of images.

Most have this idea but there are a few samples from half_body guro that are not half body portraits but portray the character separated in half usually along the waist - this could be edited to a new tag, possibly separated torso or something else, could use some assistance on the new name for this.

Update: Moved 7 of the posts mentioned above from tag half_body to bisected. Thanks dba afish! (posts 4742538, 4742539, 4742541, 4742585, 4886483, 4888279, 4888594)

that'd be bisected, the tag already exists.
