Just go to Rule 34 Paheal, Gelbooru and Sankaku instead. E621 pro-censor moderators need to be punished.

Sankaku became trash last time i checked it, Now you have to pay to use their booru, the site is broken and some pages hijack the back buttom

this change sucks cock and i hope it gets reverted as soon as possible

I don't think reverting this will fix much since the images themselves were purged from e621.

I want to be wrong there though, but if the images are gone...it's too late. The damage was done and the bridges have been burnt between the site and the community.

apologies for poor english

when were you when e6 dies?

i was sat at home doing barrows runs when midna ring

'loli is kill'

'no'

Here's the bottom line for all of this. Read it and remember it.

Losing business partners, losing advertisers, being banned from every platform he's been on, and a $1.5b lawsuit judgement hasn't stopped Alex Jones. If that slimy piece of trash can keep making a living doing the greasy shit he does, then there is no force in the universe preventing e621 from keeping on with the cute and funny.

So this is my last word on the subject. The admins need to revert these rule changes, restore the deleted posts, then resign from their positions as admins and leave the site in the hands of people who actually care about the art and its community.

deleted images are still on the servers, they're just not accessible by normal users.

No they are all still there, just not visible

how much time before this site also ban cubs and it turn into reddit or even worst : furaffinity.

Lots of people are having the same problem.

We were told to message a moderator and ask they have a look at what was removed.
I have suggested a dedicated thread though because this recent mass-delete has caused so many false-positives lol

A dedicated thread is a pretty good suggestion, and would probably be easier to implement than a reporting system.
It's unfortunate that checking every single one of your faves is kind of a pain in the ass now, considering that the images are gone. Although since the staff still has access to the files, I hope we could simply submit our [status:deleted human young] favorites for them to have a look. Of course, it would be preferable if they simply reverted the changes, but by now I'm not holding my breath.

"They were okay with it and now they're not" sounds like a mass email harassment campaign, which is the exact tactic antis are most known for, using reports and complaints as a heckler's veto.

I bet if I start clicking some of these accounts trolling this thread I'm gonna see they were made this morning.

I said it already but I’ll say it again, trust the community to be able to provide a solution. If the reason for all the removal was due to monetary reasons, make a poll or something to find out how many people would be willing to donate to keep the site afloat. I wouldn’t put it in here as most users are probably just ignoring this thread.

What specific laws and politics changed this? I can still legally buy lolicon hentai on American doujin websites like Fakku; I don't understand why I would still be able to legally purchase such things on such platforms if it was illegal now.

Conservative puritans are definitely responsible too, but I think it's silly to act like "wokeness" didn't have a part in this. Any time a loli or teenager is remotely sexualized (or even just posed suggestively) on twitter, you got hundreds of people crying foul. And these people all got the same profile, with pronouns, sexuality flags, and most importantly "proship DNI". Most of these types are basically against anything offensive/anti-woke in media.

Now obviously, conservative puritans do this too. But imo they're much more of a minority (ironic) you can go on any social media like Twitter, tumblr, or reddit, and find hundreds of left leaning people decrying younger characters in porn. it's a strength in numbers kinda deal. The conservatives that do have strong influence and opinions on this generally hate any kind of unusual porn. So why stop at just young human characters? You'd think they'd go as far as possible and ban furry stuff too, since it's "beastiality". Meanwhile, woke-ish people aren't as hard on furry stuff yet, so...

Antis don't have power. They're a bunch of teenagers who act annoying, but they're not the ones in office banning HRT for people or banning trans people from existing in public.

This might be a good opportunity to consider re621 or similar applications to mass download stuff that is now at risk of getting deleted in the future

And why was this hit in the young human purge? The character was cub. https://e621.net/posts/4337788

Because it has the tags young+human on a non-safe post (notice the one child post that still exists doesn't have the young tag). They didn't have much time to get rid of the content, so the purge used a broad search that better caught the kind of content no longer allowed, but also caught stuff that is still allowed. They know a bunch of posts were erroneously deleted from the purge and will be looking through and restoring what shouldn't have been deleted.

I heard that this is a temporary solution, So there's a chance that it will all be reverted

Greetings!

We've got a doozy this time.
Due to challenges stemming from changes in the political and legal environment, both offline and online, we have had to adjust our content guidelines to preserve access to our site. As a result, any content featuring young human or humanoid characters in explicit situations is now prohibited and will be deleted. This change also applies retroactively, and we have already removed all existing submissions featuring such content.

As with all irrelevant content, we will not issue records for uploads that violate this policy; the content will simply be deleted.

Thank you for your understanding, as this was not an easy decision for us to make.

This is fucking retarded and will instantly change this from the best place for furry content to one of the worst

Just shut down the website at this point, it will just be Fur Affinity but retarded

I’m afraid that people are now encouraged to troll-tag things they don’t agree with because there’s a chance it might get caught in the collateral damage of a future deletion like this.
It may also promote leaving some tags out entirely or using weird alternative tags and loop holes to not get caught in a future deletion.

“Woopsie, I just thought that anthro dog bending over like that looked like a feral. Deary me!”
“I have conveniently tagged every short character I didn’t like as young! My bad!”

Welp everyone start downloading fetish stuff and putting it on websites hosted outside of the US. No reason to use this website its officially just rule 34 with slightly furrier content now. This isn't isn't going to be the last content purge and the fact that they did it without warning is fucked up

You literally have Snoot Game faves. Y'know, the game about dating a high schooler and literally grooming them into being your partner.
Wonder if you'll still be throwing a party when that gets deleted too.

This really sucks. The main purpose of this website is to archive any images that are considered "furry" and now once again ridiculous rule changes like this is making archived pictures lost forever or harder to find. I know we've heard the phrase "once it's on the internet, it's there forever", but it's not true; we lost lots and lots of web material over for years since the internet became open and public, and now things are going right into the toilet where our current U.S. government, modern-day politics, and credit card companies are flushing them away, probably forever. Now the best thing to do now is to fight for our rights and wait til November to vote for the right candidate or we're screwed! I know we're dealing with the current president's reelection, but would you rather let the opponent win and lose our right to look at free pornography and possibly get arrested for sharing said porn? 'Cause I wouldn't.

100% this. It's due to the current admin team wanting to turn a niche online community into a profitable career instead of what it should be, which is just a fun thing to run in their spare time. e621 should not be a business, and therefore should not be beholden to any "business partners". I'm certain the community would provide whatever it needs to continue to function. Geez, I build and maintain stuff like this for a living and I'd be more than happy to donate my time to being an admin here. I guarantee I'm not the only one.

But let's be real here, it's also clear that the admins are antis who would probably like to have all anime-styled art removed from the site if they thought they could do it without causing the site to completely crumble into dust and then there goes their little "business".

You're free to try and run a project of our size from your basement or with a data center, and see what happens to your finances and lawyer fees once you hit our size and notoriety. This hasn't been a project able to be run without any external scrutiny for over a decade, but particularly so in the last 3 or 4 years.
Our business partners aren't some faceless megacorps trying to figure out how to squeeze another 0.1% profit margin out of their portfolio, but small local ones that get the same shit served on a platter that we do. And unsurprisingly when their livelihoods are threatened they aren't going to be able to just handwave it away, they got their own employees and families to think about.

Do you run sites and servers in the adult industry? Because we do. So do our partners, so do a whole bunch of our colleagues in the broader adult toys and porn industry, so do our friends in porn creations. The vibes have deteriorated quite a bit across the entire industry across the globe, and the impact is pretty far reaching behind the scenes due to the uncertainty this causes.
We don't have any problem hosting problematic content from an ideological standpoint, fantasy is fantasy and I've repeated that ad nauseam in public and private every time the topic came up that we should get rid of either feral, cub, lolishota, rape, murder, necrophilia, and so forth. I have a literal template saved because how often I get to repeat myself to people that apparently think cub porn is equivalent to genuine CSAM but refuse to turn themselves in as murderers for having 1000+ hours logged in GTAV.

However, when the people we depend on for our existence actually have their livelihoods threatened we are forced to react. And that point was reached earlier this week.

Do you know what people in the industry feel when basically every other month a new bi-partisan bill somewhere gets made that aims to make things harder in the industry? And even if it's eventually repealed they all vow to continue bringing it back with minor adjustments until it sticks?
Do you know what's going to happen to a company that gets legally binding content removal requests for months, and has to fear that noncompliance means they lose access to an entire market segment, and then their customers can't sell their products there anymore and will likely jump ship as well?

It is really easy to throw shade when you're unaffected by what's happening and have no idea what's been going on when it's not featured front and center in the news somewhere.

And no, we will not be naming our partners for the sole reason that they don't deserve any heat, they're getting it raw the same way we do, and the same way more places will in the future.

And last but not least, while this decision may have been rash, it does also allow us to protect things in the long run. As long as we aren't forced to purge the files from the server they will continue to stay there indefinitely with the hope that we can make them public again eventually. We already had to irreversibly purge too many as is, and this will at least protect the rest from that, even if we can't share them at the moment.

If you want to prevent shit like this from happening in the future, vote, yell at your representatives, get involved directly. More and more of this shit is getting flung at the adult industry at large from both sides of the aisle, in basically every western nation. The UK and EU want to make encryption illegal, in the US Dems and Reps respectively want to either make porn only accessible ID and SSN or make it illegal entirely, payment processors get more aggressive all the time for everything adult, the UK even has been whining at us for months about some new fucking brainfart they're dreaming up to PrOtEcT tHe ChIlDrEn.

Is there at least any way to like, archive these works before they're just lost forever?

Gonna dip out since the mods keep deleting my posts, all in all it's been a great ride but it wouldn't surprise me if more art gets shafted in the future because people bitch and moan enough. Here for the ship sinking, maybe it'll get better, but almost every single time when a bell is rung it can't be un-rung.

I actually found the law that is the culprit.
It's the 2003 PROTECT ACT.......
It was even updated a few times.

The PROTECT act SPECIFICALLY bans material intending to replicate actual CP. For example, using an AI art generator to make realistic pictures of children is HIGHLY illegal under the PROTECT act. Drawing lolisho is fine.

P2025 is garbage, why would anyone support it?

Because it's been the playbook of conservatives since the mid 10's.

notmenotyou said:
We can't point at anything specific because there's nothing specific to point at. Laws impacting us directly didn't change, but enforcement has and we, and others, have to deal with the fallout. And considering this threatens a few businesses we quite literally depend on for our existence we have to make concessions here and there.
Our options were quite literally either the content goes, or the site goes.

Also, everything we deleted can be restored, nothing has been removed from the servers, and I've we've already started restoring things that have been pointed out to us as having been caught in the crossfire. That is why we're not feeling too bad about it, the unintended damage can and will be undone as we go through it.

If that were the case we would have destroyed the posts irreversibly instead of just removing them from public view. If the general vibe of the internet / political landscape / legal requirements and enforcement improves all of the deleted content is about 44 button presses away from being completely restored.
We are hoping this temporary, even if it'll take a decade or two, or that we can find an alternate solution entirely, but at the moment our hands are tied and this is what we're stuck with.

Problem is, your other owned websites are not using this rule you're enforcing only on this website, so it doesn't feel honest.

kodaskii said:

This is correct, people just quote that law because they dont know any better

Apparently not.
Here's a quote.

"The answer is no. As a result of the PROTECT Act of 2003, lolicon meets the federal criteria for child pornography. If you are caught in possession of lolicon or shotacon, you could face federal criminal charges and significant prison time if convicted.

Possessing loli is illegal under federal law if the anime depiction of an underage person is obscene and it was transmitted through the mail, internet, common carrier, or transported across state lines, or there is proof there was intent to distribute or sell it.

Notably, simple possession of loli is not illegal under federal laws unless you possess a large amount of it, which prosecutors could allege you have the intent to sell or distribute. Unless you created the loli images yourself, federal prosecutors would not have difficulty proving that you received the loli over the internet or through the mail."

I'm just happy the human tag is finally going to be removed. Was really annoying to constantly have to add several things to blacklist only to see humans still appearing while searching smut.

that's a nice argument senator, but how about you back it up with a source?

I can't believe people are taking this horror fanfic seriously. I know we're all dumbasses looking at cat balls but holy shit guys.
"Ah yes, i'm gonna expore ALL my plans in 900 pages doc that nobody will read because it's so huge just so that my enemies are prepared and have countermeasures". If you read even one page of it's the most outlandish and absurd thing ever.

kiki-corvid said:

1466A. you need to abolish the obscenity law or least this part as this is the main source of all your woes. it what every angry conservative or trolls clings to when going on these crusades.

Well, the site had a good run, sorry to see that it has opted to kill itself. Arbitrary content removal never stops at just one thing, and before you know it all that's left is a tiny insular group wondering where everyone else went. I get that hosting a site isn't an easy thing to do, but this move never ends well, ever.
