Do different kinds of bacon apease you more than others? What is your sacred bacon? What is concidered the " holy " amount in pounds? Wouldn't the price of bacon go up if it was concidered a holy symbol? Would you smite others if they did not offer you bacon? Would pigs be concidered the holy grail of bacon, providing it? So many questions I wish to ask you, oh bacon lord!

All bacon apease me, but i would consider streaky bacon as my sacred bacon. The holy amount would be 1-2 pounds. I would assume it would be a higher price, but not too high since its easily attainable from pigs. I wouldnt smite anyone unless they did something on purpose to piss me off. Pigs wouldnt be considered holy, otherwise we wouldnt be able to obtain it, without some flaw with the "why slaughter a holy animal" predicament, contridicting that bacon is considered holy, not the pig.

what's the difference between heathenism and paganism anyway?

As I understand it, Paganism is the belief of any non-Abrahamic religion, while hethanism is a sect of paganism based in Germany.

I'm so glad Wikipedia is back up.

To my own understanding at least, Pagan religions are usually Animalistic, Shamanistic, Totemist, and so forth, with Aztecs and some African tribes being examples of Animalist, Native Americans Shamanistic, and the tribes that once occupied modern-day Russia Totemists or Shamanists. A Heathen, on the other hand, is someone who not only has a different religion, but also opposes yours severely. Examples are Christianity and Muslim religions, some Christians see Muslims as Heathens, as some Muslims so Christians as Heathens, hence the constant fighting between the two. A whole other category, are Heretics, those who are in your same group, be it Muslim, Christian, or any other, who believe in your god, but have many seperate and different beliefs. A good example of a "Heretic" would be how the Catholic Church viewed the Protestant Reformation, where both the Protestant and Reformed churches came about. Catholics viewed them as Heretics, along with the Orthodox church.

    Sorry.....i'm a history buff :/

    He IS a sexy god.

Not to mention the least evil seen as he does not go around killing people... it would just mean more work for him seen as he is the god of the underworld xD

Wasn't he originally the god of judgement or something?

No he was only present, the weighing of the heart was another gods job.

    Wikipedia said:
One of the roles of Anubis was as the "Guardian of the Scales." The critical scene depicting the weighing of the heart, in the Book of the Dead, shows Anubis performing a measurement that determined whether the person was worthy of entering the realm of the dead (the underworld, known as Duat). By weighing the heart of a deceased person against Ma'at (or "truth"), who was often represented as an ostrich feather, Anubis dictated the fate of souls. Souls heavier than a feather would be devoured by Ammit, and souls lighter than a feather would ascend to a heavenly existence.

Doesn't sound like just being present. More like Anubis was the actual deity that weighed souls, and Ma'at was just along for the ride as the standard by which souls were weighed against.

Well he only attended the ceremony. he was the one that guarded graves and looked after those in the afterlife.

    Fuckin' where?

*Depicted as a protector of graves as early as the First Dynasty (c. 3100 – c. 2890 BC), Anubis was also an embalmer.* and then we have *One of his prominent roles was as a god who ushered souls into the afterlife. He -> ->attended<- <- the weighing scale during the "Weighing of the Heart,* see the ATTENDED bit? its even said in supernatural that he is not the one who's job it is.

  • Heathen (Gentiles) are NOT godless. Jews have defamed them to that in the course of forced Christianization.
