  • Ok but like, Stayin' Alive walking memes aside, Kuroo's animation style is absolutely fantastic and this is only his second animation. Like... What's the actual sex scenes going to be like if simple walking structures and ball sways and dick swings look this good on a second attempt?

    I can see the hiccup in the cycle, but it feels intentional to me...
    Like a sharp strut instead of bad timing on a loop, maybe I'm just getting caught up in the moment.

    It's kinda stiff looking. The ears just sort of tilt back an forth, but really they should be bouncing a little bit with each step. The "strut" is kinda like a swagger but again, it seems a little bit robotic. The animation is very very good, just needs some extra touches to make it look more organic.

    The animation is actually fairly smooth (a couple loop glitches aside, and yes the ear thing). The actual reason it looks off is animals don't typically walk by moving the legs on the same side in the same direction. One pair on a side is always mostly moving apart while the other side is always moving together, unless they're running. See example

    Did you model every strands or is it some advanced shader effect like parallax occlusion ?

  • While I get what they were trying to do... The walking animation was SOOoooo wrong, the fox would have fallen over to either side with either step.
    This is the most annoying part of so many furry artist.. They don't even bother to look at anatomy or learn how locomotion works. Front and Back legs move opposite of one another (So left front and rear right and vice versa)

    The animation is 21 FPS, which is highly irregular to see but also pretty low for rendered animations, this would look awful if there wasn't motion blur applied.
    It does also seem like there are frames being dropped here and there (which I'm not sure are those the intentional bumps to make it match rhytm better or actual technical error) but also for some reason while animation is utilizing motion blur, there's random individual frames without motion blur applied (you can see these by just going forward frame-by-frame and seeing parts where fur is suddenly much more visible).

    Not saying that there isn't any issues with the animation cycle itself, but there's definitely also technical issues still present as well.

  • Be sure to give Deretto and Feodoronsd their credit, too! Retopo' and especially modeling and rigging are definitely not a breeze. If not for those two, this would have definitely not been possible.

    Actually, I'd go so far to say that Kuroodod was the one not showing up for his part, if anything.

    The fur is undeniably gorgeous, but everything else is...less than stellar. Folks have already noted a couple of these, but that Sam's walk cycle here isn't cleanly looped (most noticeable when looking at his back leg during the shots of his knot), his gait is janky and a bit robotic, it feels like he's sliding in place more than walking, and then there's that full body shot.

    Jeepers creepers that fullbody shot.

    I thought what I was noticing up to that point was just me being extremely anal about small things, but man, I felt secondhand embarrassment when the video got there. Sam reminds me of a muppet with the lack of weight on his upper half, with metal rigging inside so jerky that I can almost hear the gears clacking in there. And his head and neck are so still and stiff and detached from the kinetic impact and flow of the rest of his body, too. All the while the hitching in the looping acting up real bad.

    I can see why the rear-view cycle was posted separately, these flaws were way less noticeable there. Ignoring the frankly insane clipping of his nads into his left thigh, cleverly hidden by his fur. I hope that one was intentional.

    Overall, stellar work from the modelers, but I feel Kuro's work was barely above the quality of his last Renamon blowjob piece. So much squandered potential and misplaced praise.

  • I'm not usually a big fan of these 3d animations, but this is really good! I hope kuroodod does more of these in the future!

  • The quality of this animation is on par with that of gods, the detail on the fur and the smoothness of the animation is astounding, I have some constructive criticism though. Mind you I'm no artist and especially not an animator, but something could've been done to make the face and head look...more alive, it looks like a plushie got up and decided to live. Also the animation skips at times, but I'm guessing that's a loop, I also don't remember Sam having a cream colored muzzle but I'm guessing that's a variant of him.

    It's still better than anything I could do, props to all the time and effort put into this, I just wish there was an SFW version I could show someone I know who is an artist.

    because the limbs on the same side are perfectly synchronized, which is the opposite of how walking physically works in real life. think of what walking or running would be like if you moved your left leg and left arm forward and backward at the same time instead of left leg/right arm forward then right leg/left arm forward.

    Yeah, Glad I wasn't the only one thinking that...at the risk of triggering those who don't like their favs critiqued...in the opening 9 seconds,the walk looks a bit like he's limping a little bit and during the 42+ seconds section his hindpaw flicks like it's sliding out from under him all the time...as if he's trying to fast walk on ice. Overall I'd say the most off feeling thing to it is that the walk seems a bit...mechanical?
