Back when I did play I found a way to play a hunter that was geared up to tank with a rifle it worked really well sadly people got onto me for breaking the meta which for me is part of the fun so I put the game down and will never play it again.

It looks bad but we can't say we wouldn't do the same

Never played WoW, but in ESO I used to play DPS. But, I stunk at damage. So, seeing as I used heavy armor, I leaned into tank and off healer. I never abandon my party and sometimes heal more than the healer themselves

But yes, being kicked as a DPS is common and sucked
