Knew it! It was a jealousy complex! His dad grew angry because of Kindle (I don't know if it was because he could succeed him as "King" or jealousy of him taking the attention of his wife away). His mother tried offering him the throne and he turned it down because (and this is just a hypothesis) he didn't want to become like his dad.

seems by the pictures the used to be a loving family til their son came along knowing he would someday be king and started arguing with the mom about possibly getting rid of him and started to go out with other female dragons they argued more him finally overheard them so he ran away to save them the trouble and shes been sad ever since

I agree. From one of the pictures I feel like Kindles father cheated on Vera. Of course we got that way earlier, but not it actually sounds like a real family situation not just the father is an asshole but was an actual father. The question is, what's the punched out picture?

Actually now that I look at it, if you think about it, it talks about how the story went, granted it'll probably be brought into context later but from what I gather what happened was that the father was happy but grew bored for whatever reason (or is just a major asshole) Vera see's him talking to another dragon but ignores it hoping what she's thinking is going on is wrong, thinking Kindle would know asks him if he's seen them doing anything together (maybe because he hanged around his father all the time) then because kindle doesn't know (or because he does know) or because his father did something to him a huge fight ensues between kindle and Vera or perhaps even Kindles father tricked Kindle into thinking Vera was the adultery and not the other way around and that the new dragoness was helping him kindle believes that because it's his father then when Vera goes to confront his father she sees him mating with the other dragoness (the punched out panle because it represents the final straw that broke the family), he realizes she's watching, she's shocked, fight breaks out, something happens, Kindle finds out who the real perpetrator is and does the one thing that makes sense to a young adult. He blames both but mostly blames the father for everything that happened but because of the words he'd said to his mother feels ashamed that he'd been duped by his father so as not to seem like a hypocrit or perhaps to give Vera someone to blame kept on being angry, or just didn't know what to do with the anger so releases it in other ways such as sex and other ways. Vera wanting vengeance against Kindles father needs another son since Kindle now wants nothing to do with his father, which would include the throne, which he is the heir, as for why Vera would need kindle's child and not just any child is that it must be someone from kindle's father's bloodline because for whatever reason kindles father's son's are the only ones who can inherit the throne...

This is just a theory...a comic theory...ok I'm done lol.

All I mainly take away from this (awesomely presented) page is that her husband apparently was a stereotypical male dragon fursona. The smug expression to go with it just isn't fully visible.
