A race of chitin-plated beings, Nefit come in many shapes and sizes. Becoming what they devour and able to breed without and with a partner, there are many kinds of them, all different in shape, size, and coloring. Besides the physical appearence, they also can gain both physical and mental/psychic traits, at times those that are deceiving in combination with appearence they wield.

Nefit are a fairly advanced race, their technology is well-developed, but missing few things other races would have as they do not have any need for them, despite that however, some of their customs may seem primitive. While Nefit are capable of reproduction without the need of a partner, it is considered to be a taboo. Due to the child inherting the trait of a parent, they are expected to inherit the trait of both parents, giving them powers of both, thus making them stronger. Those that had only powers of one parent, were considered incomplete. As such, the incomplete would be exiled from the planet, left to wander the universe.

On the homeworld of Nefit, there are two main royal families. Nigilus and Ignis. The two families are not friends with one another, however they are not enemies either. While their relations are tense, they rarely get into fights, but as it is doomed to happen, the young ones do get in fights at one point or another.
Ignis family is gifted with white as the pure light chitin, along with it comes the unique to their family chitin styling. Among their notable abilites are psychic powers using which they communicate, and extremely sturdy chitin. A less notable, physical difference, is that Ignis carry two eyes on one side, and have only three fingers each hand.
Nigilus family however, is gifted with dark as the night chitin, having their own unique chitin styling as well. While not having psychic powers, they have greater regeneration rate, monster-like even for their own kind, yet with not-so-tough chitin. Among their notable traits are their speed, flexibility and truly immense strength. Having a perfect natural set-up for a berserk, they fight with ferocity, able to rip up any foe in their way, any except the previously mentioned Ignis who's chitin are able to withstand the onslaught. Unlike Ignis, Nigilus family has six eyes, present on both sides, three on each, and four thin arms with full set of five sharp, claw-like fingers.
