This tag describes noticeably narrow waists, which is narrower than the hips and shoulders to a greater than "average" degree. Skinny characters, and characters who are described as top heavy or bottom heavy will often have small waists; additionally, a character with an hourglass figure almost inherently will have a small waist.

An exceptionally or cartoonishly narrow waist with dramatic differences in width between the waist, hips and upper body - like that caused by a corset - should be tagged as wasp waist as well.
