ネリエル・トゥ・オーデルシュヴァンク, Nerieru Tu Ōderushuvanku, Nel Tu, Nel

Fictional character from the mixed media series Bleach. Nelliel is an Arrancar and former Espada ranked at Tres (Three) within their hierarchy. She is first encountered in her childlike form in the Hueco Mundo desert where she lives with her adoptive brothers and their pet "Bawabawa". In her child form Nel evidences a large scar running down her head and face, the result of a tremendous attack that left her bereft of her memories. In her adult form Nel still evidences the scar, but in a less extreme context. In her adult form she becomes a tall, buxom human female, but retains her child-like wide eyes and still falls back on her childish patterns of speech.

A chance encounter with Ichigo Kurosaki in the desert leads Nel along a line of events where her power and memories are restored. Ichigo is uncertain at first what exactly Nel is and though he knows her adoptive brothers are in fact Arrancar he sees no reason or need for hostility. Nel's child-like behavior and quick attachment to Ichigo force him to relent and care for her for a time. Her powers and history are later revealed when Ichigo and Nel encounter Nnoitra, the Espada who tricked and attacked Nel scarring her, leaving her with fractured memories.

Abilities
In her child form Nel has access to a limited form of her Cero Doble attack. This attack allows her to consume and redirect a Cero attack back to an enemy at double its strength. However, her adult version of it allows her to mix her own spiritual power into it increasing its power tremendously. Her other unique ability in her child form is known as the "Nel Shower". Her saliva possesses a weak form of healing power (though it can be debated if it posseses any power whatsoever) and she is often fond of using this technique the instant anyone is injured in the slightest. The technique requires her to reach into her throat and touch her uvula, an action that Ichigo instantly recognizes as a vomit reflex and not a salivation reflex. However Nel creates a viscous clear fluid, instead of actual regurgitation which leads her to believe it is saliva but Ichigo is quick to refuse the treatment every time it is offered.

In her adult form Nel is a powerful combatant and clearly deserving of he rank as Three among the Espada. She is gifted in both swordplay and hand-to-hand combat and her Hierro is strong enough to absorb the attacks of other high level Espada with ease. Her great strength is paired with a keen and calculating intellect and backed by a deep philosophy that values mercy, respect, and honor.

In her Resurrección form Nel becomes a centuar-like creature with a distinct quadruped lower body and the skull upon her head grows out fully, giving her ibex like horns atop her head. In this form her Zanpakutō changes into a tremendous double ended lance. While in her released state Nel prefers charging attacks and piercing moves that favor her lance weapon, she can also use the lance in an attack called "Lanzador Verde" (Green Lancer) where she hurls the weapon with tremendous speed and force at her foe, as the weapon travels through the air it abosorbs and concentrates spirit particles causing it to spin. When the lance finally hits it exerts the rotational energy much like a drill causing immense damage.
