popping
This term has two meanings:
- The sudden loss of internal pressure of an inflatable, or something physically behaving like an inflatable caused by a sharp object (i.e. a needle, a pin, etc.) puncturing it, direct contact with hot surfaces or sources of heat, sitting, straddling or lying on it until it pops, overinflating, etc.
Tagging notes
Popping should be seen as the less gruesome cousin to the bursting fetish. All living creatures that are having their bodies rupture by an internal pressure should be tagged bursting. Examples that lack the anticipated gore that follows such an event may be tagged as both bursting, and popping. Inanimate objects such as balloons, and pool toys should only use popping.
- Activities that are recognized, and named after the sound produced from a sudden internal expansion (think popping corn). This is a less viable interpretation of the popping definition.
