Symmetra is a support focused hero whose abilities focus on shielding allies, creating defensive turrets, and deploying a teleportation device to allow quick transit by allies into battle. Symmetra was recruited by the Vishkar Corporation into their architect academy after she displayed a surprising gift in the art of light-bending architecture. Unlike her peers Symmetra approached light-architecture with a more fluid and delicate style, relying on treating the light as a kind of symphony and herself as a conductor rather than the light as a physical thing meant to be placed step-by-step in a standard order.

Personality
Symmetra desires order and symmetry in all things, including human civilization as a whole. As a result she loathes personal freedom that extends to break that order. Many see her as a sort of tyrant and dictator because of these ideals, but she fully believes that humanity can benefit from a structured and ordered cultural revolution. However at times she can be made to doubt her own intentions, especially in regards to personal freedom. Upon seeing her comrades delighting in frivolous and counter productive activities she finds it hard to reconcile that all things in a person's life must have order and reason.
