Mercy is a support focused hero with abilities that focus on healing and maneuverability. Mercy is a prominent surgeon who rose to a position of great esteem in Switzerland for her work in nanobiology, her great skill drew the attention of Overwatch. Despite her deeply pacifist nature Mercy saw Overwatch as an opportunity to extend her healing skills to places it was needed most, such as the field of battle. To aid her in her role she donned the Valkyrie swift-response armor, giving her incredible mobility and a passive regenerative aura for herself when in combat. Because of her pacifist nature she is often at odds with other members of Overwatch who tend to take a more militaristic approach to "peace".

Personality
As her name suggests Mercy values compassion, mercy, and selflessness in herself and others. In her heart she is a deeply pacifistic person who loathes open and direct combat, but is not afraid to fight to protect herself or those in danger.
