Character: red mage
Red Mage is a job in the Final Fantasy series. They usually wear an all-red attire, including their signature red-colored cavalier hat with a feather on it. The Final Fantasy Tactics series, mainly the Advance and Crystal Defenders series, switches out the hat in favor of the more wizard-like pointy ones while still retaining the hat feather.
This job can learn spells commonly associated with black mages and white mages; elemental, healing, and various spells for buffing and debuffing. They are also notable for being one of the few spellcasting jobs in the franchise that can wield swords; other mages are usually limited to daggers, hammers, rods, and/or staves.
