Sobble (メッソン, Messon) is a Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII, announced on February 27, 2019, as the water type member of the starter trio featured in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

Sobble is a quadrupedal, reptilian or amphibian-like Pokémon. It has featureless feet with 2 toed "clasper" appendages, similar to that of a chameleon's. Its skin as well as its eyes, blue cheek spots, and tail are blue, the tail being curled as well. Adorning its head is a membranous head frill, or possibly a membranous crest.
