A sparklecat is a brightly & unnaturally colored felid character, typically multicolored, though not always. Despite the name, this term can refer to any felid species.

NOTE: Just being unnaturally colored is not enough to qualify as a sparklecat.

Common traits of sparklecats include excessive accessories, bizarre anatomy, and over the top hairstyles. They are commonly associated with fashion subscultures such as scene, ravers and cybergoth.

Unlike sparkledogs, this term seems to not have derogatory origins, instead originating as a purely neutral descriptor and a split-off of sparkledogs.
