Octavia Melody (usually shortened to "Octavia" in some merchandise and media) is a recurring background Earth pony who's appeared since season 1, in the spinoff film My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks, and the IDW comics. She has a dark gray mane and tail, a light gray coat and light purple eyes, and she wears a pink bow tie with a white collar. Her cutie mark is a violet treble clef.

Octavia is usually seen paired with fellow musical pony, Vinyl Scratch. In the season 5 episode, 'Slice of Life', it's revealed Octavia and Vinyl are housemates.
