fatal vore
Fatal Vore describes a vore scenario which explicitly results in the death of the prey character, or can be strongly implied to be facing a deathly fate. This tag frequently crosses over with after vore.
Fatal vore at its most implicit level can involve a skull symbol or skull and crossbones next to the area of the predator's body where the prey is (e.g. a skull and crossbones emanating from a pred's bloated belly), or the predator character burping out a skull shaped cloud with no evidence that the prey is still alive. Both symbolically representing the death of the prey. Dialogue that is not contradicted by visuals can also be used to determine whether a vore scenario is intended to be fatal or not.
Common Elements of Fatal Vore
- Digestion
- melting — a non-graphic way of showing the prey being digested, where they melt into a goo or like ice cream and gradually disappear into the fluids around them
- blood and gore in graphic depictions of the prey being digested, this may involve the character already being dead, or if living that they are mortally wounded, and certain to die.
- bones in stomach — the prey's flesh has been entirely digested, leaving behind their bones inside of the stomach, which may be excreted or further digested
- bone imprints — impressions of bones appearing through the predator's skin, usually through the belly or balls (depending on type of vore)
- skull imprint — an impression of a skull through the predator's skin, usually through the belly or balls
- rapid digestion — the prey is digested within a short amount of time, showing an explicitly fatal end, a common element in vore animations
- Disposal
- bones in feces — the undigested, or partially digested bones of the prey are visible in fecal matter
- condom disposal — the remains of the prey are ejaculated into a condom
- diaper disposal — the remains of the prey are excreted into a diaper
