three arrows (symbol)
The Three Arrows is a left-wing political symbol, often seen in recent years representing anti-fascist movements.
The Three Arrows originated with the Iron Front of pre-WWII Germany, a group that supported social democracy, and who often violently clashed with the Nazi Brownshirts.
The symbol originally represented the rejection of fascism (specifically of the Nazi Party), monarchism, and of Soviet-style authoritarian communism.
As the symbol rejects authoritarian communism, the Three Arrows has become a popular symbol among left-libertarians, including and particularly Anarchists, through which it became associated with the Punk movement.
