Fuecoco (ホゲータ Hogator) is a Fire-type Pokémon, and along with Sprigatito and Quaxly is one of the three starter Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Classified as the Fire Croc Pokémon, Fuecoco is known to be laid-back and generally does things at its own pace.
Fuecoco was first revealed to the public as the second Generation IX Pokémon starter during the Pokémon Presents video presentation on February 27, 2022.
Physical appearance:
Fuecoco is a bipedal Pokémon with an animal-like appearance, resembling a small crocodile. Its body is mostly chili-red, except for its face and belly, which are off-white. It has two large hind legs, each with a pair of triangular black claws.
This Pokémon's tail is fairly short and pointed, while the top of its skull features "tufts of flame" oscillating between yellow and orange.
On its face, it has an elongated, U-shaped jaw with three teeth; the single-toothed upper part of the mouth is notably larger than the two-toothed lower part...
At the end of the snout, its two black nostrills are shaped like triangles pointing to the sides (▼▼).
Both eyes have black irises and are medium-sized. Finally, this little crocodile sports five rectangular yellow scales on its body: one straddling its red torso and the beginning of its white belly; two more on its back, just before the tip of its tail and then in the middle of its back; and finally, one under each of its feet.
Fuecoco draws its inspiration from animals of the crocodilian family, particularly the crocodile and the alligator. In addition, its body shape and range of colors are reminiscent of the red chili pepper.
