The tag "Generation 1 Pokémon" refers to all the Pokémon species that appeared with the original Pocket Monsters games (ポケットモンスター 赤・緑・青 Poketto Monsutā aka・midori・ao) : Released on February 27, 1996 in Japan.
The Western versions were finally released in September 28, 1998. They were called Pokémon Red and Blue.
