Posts that contain a translation that has been baked into the file by someone other than the original artist.

• Translation edits should be in English. Translations to other languages are not accepted. If you are looking to provide translations into non-English languages, please do so in the form of a comment instead.
• If you edit the image to add text translated by the artist, this is still a translation_edit.
• Translation edits may generally be treated as alternate versions of the original image.
• Per the translation guidelines, translation edits that fail to meet a certain standard of translation or editing quality may be deleted.

In general, notes are better for translation than translation edits, as they're easier to check, easier to modify, and less likely to be deleted for issues such as bad typesetting.
Note that translation edits found on the internet are often sourced from commercial content, which is generally grounds for deletion.
