space station
A space station is a man-made structure constructed in outer space designed to house people and equipment inside. Space stations often come with docking bays enabling spacecraft to connect to it. This enable passengers to travel to and from the two without needing to go outside and put on a spacesuit. Unlike spacecrafts, space stations are meant to be stationary. Often times they are constructed in orbit of a cosmic body such as planets and moons. Space stations can serve several roles such as research stations, dockyards, military bases, hydroponics and even as a habitat station where people live.
