Tatanga, also known as Tatanga the Mysterious Spaceman, is a small, purple-skinned alien with a bulbous head and tall ears, is a recurring antagonist in the Super Mario video game series.

In his debut appearance in 1989's Super Mario Land for the Game Boy, Tatanga was portrayed as a powerful and cunning villain who controlled an army of monsters and robots. He flew using his spaceship to travel between different worlds in Sarasaland, which he had invaded from his unknown planet. Tatanga's ultimate goal was to kidnap Princess Daisy, the ruler of the land. To stop him, Mario embarks on a journey to rescue Daisy and defeat Tatanga.
