Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds (Spanish: D'Artacán y los Tres Mosqueperros; Japanese: ワンワン三銃士 Wan Wan Sanjuushi, lit., Woof Woof Three Musketeers) is an animated tv series adapted from Alexandre Dumas père's' popular works in the The d'Artagnan Romances but primarily The Three Musketeers, animated in a joint cooperation between Spanish BRB Internacional, and Japanese Nippon Animation and first aired 1981 to 1982.
8 years later, in 1989 the show got a sequel, The Return of Dogtanian. Continuing the adaptation of The d'Artagnan Romances with a focus on The Vicomte of Bragelonne: Ten Years Later including the volume about The Man in the Iron Mask. This time produced by Spanish BRB Internacional, Televisión Española and British Thames Television, animated by Taiwanese Wang Film Productions and Chinese Shanghai Morning Sun Animation.
6 years later, following the success of the second series BRB Internacional released a movie, Dogtanian: One For All and All For One in 1995.
Somewhere between 2018 and 2020, BRB Internacional uploaded their entire archive onto their Youtube channel, including a playlist for Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds and The Return of Dogtanian.
26 years later, in 2021 BRB Internacional through their Spanish cinema studio Apolo Films, and Indian Cosmos Maya released a feature-length made-for-cinemas CGI movie Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds.
A sequel is in development titled Dogtanian, The Hero, currently with no announced release date.

In this loosely faithful adaptation, a young Dogtanian takes on the role of D'Artagnan and travels from the province of Béarn to the capitol city Paris with the burning ambition to become one of the musketeers for King Louis XIII of France, an elite team of soldiers consisting of Porthos, Athos and Aramis. Upon arriving, he is soaked twice by Juliette, a maid-in-waiting for Queen Anne of Austria tossing out buckets while cleaning, who to make up for the inconvenience invites him to stay in her uncle's house. He quickly befriends the three musketeers, and goes on to repeatedly save Juliette, foil Cardinal Richelieu's plots, and encounter interesting characters such as Milady, and the cardinal's henchmen, Count Rochefort and Widimer.
