Pixies are an alternative rock band formed in 1986, formed in Boston, Massachusetts. Their unique mixture of punk rock and surf rock influences along with the bizarre lyrics featured in their songs ended up inspiring other famous bands such as Nirvana, Radiohead, Weezer, and The Smashing Pumpkins. Although they initially broke up in 1993, they reunited in 2004.
