Tales from Scorchwater Valley is a CGI animated short/pilot by Alexander Henderson. It follows the adventures of blind rhinoceros mercenary Niles and his flightless oxpecker guide Red as they traverse the drought-ravaged wasteland that is Scorchwater Valley in order to find somewhere safe to live.

It was made avaiable to watch on YouTube and Newgrounds on February 15, 2022. The pilot was amongst the 5 candidates for the Dramatic Short Work category on the Ursa Major Awards 2022 and got third place, losing to Horns.
