When a character who's probably made of something viscous, slimy, or sticky (often a goo creature, or a goo_transformation or melting) has their mouth open, and their top and bottom lips are connected by strands or strings of, well, whatever their mouth was already made of. Goo, slime, strands of viscous skin, etc.

Often creates the illusion/effect of having multiple separated mouths. (Also, sometimes it's just a stylistic way to show a saliva string.)
Also, the character doesn't need to have defined lips — just the top and bottom of some sort of "mouth", connected by whatever goopy/sticky/drippy stuff that mouth is made of.

• Examples of characters with this type of mouth include Delirium from The Binding of Isaac, Shyni and Tornoth from Teraurge, or the Pokémon species Muk — as well as many depictions of Rouxls Kaard from Deltarune, or of the Pokémon species Cacnea and Cacturne.
