Claws that entirely replace toes, or at least claws that seem to replace around 80% or more of the toes' expected length. In technical terms, these characters do not appear to have middle or distal phalanges (diagram ).
Claw toes should be unbendable, less able to perform tasks normal for humans, and generally less suited for environments and objects designed for humans. Even so, artists may choose to disregard such restrictions. These claws are usually a different color from the feet, often offsetting colored bodies with white claws and white bodies with black or grey claws.
Do not confuse with
- hooves
- toeless_(marking)
- toenails of animals like elephants
- toes covered by large claws
