Arousal Focus applies to works where visible arousal is the subject or a primary focus and not a passive element. The arousal depicted in arousal focus works is more intentional and obvious.
The arousal often occurs from physical attraction, foreplay, voyeurism or exhibitionism, having kinks idulged, as a result of transformation, mind control, corruption, pheromones, or being touched in a pleasurable (but not always sexual) way (such as petting).
This doesn't apply to characters while having sex, nor does it apply to solo masturbation or simply being visibly erect without a clear source of arousal.
Typical elements of arousal focus
- Dialogue drawing attention to being or becoming aroused
- Motion lines used to draw attention to signs of arousal (e.g. throbbing penis or clitoris, excited shaking or twitching)
- Visibly becoming erect (especially when shown growing erect throughout two or more panels in a comic) or tenting
- Exaggerated expression and/or blushing to indicate arousal (especially use of <3_eyes)
