Fur along the spine that is distinctly longer than fur (or lack thereof) immediately surrounding it.

This includes longer fur that runs along a substantial part of the spine of the neck, back or tail.

Similar to tuft, but is strictly along the spine.
Similar to mane, but is not strictly thicker fur. Generally does not apply to equines or lions for example.
