Paper Mario: Sticker Star is an action-adventure, role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and released for the Nintendo 3DS as the fourth installment in the Paper Mario series, as well as the first installment released for a handheld console. It succeeded Super Paper Mario from 2007, and was itself succeeded by Paper Mario: Color Splash and Paper Mario: The Origami King in 2016 and 2020 respectively.
