An aisle is a circulation space used for walking or for transporting objects, with rows of non-walkable spaces on either side (which may contain seats or walls).

• Aisles with seats can be found: in airplanes, churches, cathedrals, courtrooms, limousines, meeting rooms, theaters, for example.

• Aisles with walls can be found: in librairies, stores, schools etc.

It's important to keep the aisles clear so that, in case of emergency: evacuation goes smoothly... Be careful not to place luggage or bulky objects in these spaces!
