Bigotry, is the state of mind, attitudes, and behaviors of a bigot. A bigot is a narrow-minded, intolerant person who often reacts to opposing viewpoints as attacks, views people who disagree as beneath them, and refuses to change viewpoints even if said views are proven empirically false and/or problematic.

Bigotry in the modern sense most often refers to people who hold onto negative views on minorities and other demographics of people (racism, sexism, homophobia/transphobia, etc.), but bigotry can refer to intolerance of any belief (such as favorite food or opinions on popular media).
