Gantu is a large, whale-like alien character from the Lilo & Stitch franchise.

In the original film, he is a captain of the United Galactic Federation's armada and serves as the main antagonist during the movie's final act when the Grand Councilwoman gives him the mission to retrieve Experiment 626 when Jumba and Pleakley fail to do so. When Gantu himself fails to get 626 (now known as Stitch) and kidnaps a little girl (Lilo Pelekai) in the process, the Grand Councilwoman fires him. He then serves as a supporting antagonist in Lilo & Stitch: The Series and its films Stitch! The Movie and Leroy & Stitch working for Dr. Jacques von Hämsterviel, fighting against Lilo and Stitch in capturing Jumba's other genetic experiments for Hämsterviel. In Leroy & Stitch, after Hämsterviel fires Gantu after taking over the Galactic Federation thanks to his Leroy army, Gantu decides to work with Lilo and Stitch in defeating Hämsterviel and the Leroys instead, eventually getting his old captain job back. However, he returns working for Hämsterviel again in the anime Stitch!, where the English dub reveals that he was dishonorably discharged for poor karaoke singing at a Galactic Federation party, turning back to Hämsterviel for employment thereafter. Gantu's reluctant partner in the sequel material is Experiment 625, also known as Reuben.
