Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night is a 1987 American 2D animated musical fantasy film produced by Filmation Associates and distributed by New World Pictures. The film is based upon and an intended sequel to the classic Italian children's novel, The Adventures of Pinocchio (1883) by Carlo Collodi.

One thing the film is recognized for is stylistic similarities to Disney's own film adaption, Pinocchio (1940). The Walt Disney Company sued Filmation for copyright infringement, but lost the case after the defendant successfully distinguished the animation and their right to use the original intellectual property, as The Adventures of Pinocchio entered the public domain in 1960.
