Mixed Media is a meta tag for posts that are visibly made using more than one artistic medium.

Common Examples of Mixed Media

• Traditional and Digital Media Combined:
• A traditional drawing (made with pencils, pens, etc.) being touched up, cleaned up, coloured, have text added to it, or otherwise manipulated using software (e.g. Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Paint Tool Sai).
• Many artists may sketch with pencil traditionally, scan the image, and add clean line art, or simply colour the traditional drawing digitally.
• Traditional art by itself is often mixed media:
• Many artists combine mediums such as pencil and pen, pen, paint, coloured pencils, and/or markers in a single piece
• Digital mixed media:
• 2d digital art being combined with 3d digital art, such as 2d illustrated characters in a 3d rendered background
• Posed 3d models being edited or painted over in software such as Photoshop.
• Photography and 2d Traditional or Digital Drawings/Paintings, or 3d Rendering
• Photos may be used for photo backgrounds, or as objects that an illustrated/rendered character interacts with
• Photography and painting may be combined through a "paint over", where a photograph is used as a basis for a piece
