Nicole Watterson is a main character in the Cartoon Network-produced animated series The Amazing World of Gumball. Nicole is an anthropomorphic cat with light blue fur, large toony black eyes, and a pink nose. She is somewhere between Richard and Gumball in height. She greatly resembles her son Gumball in appearance, having a nearly identical-shaped head and body type, except Nicole's whiskers are shorter and she has visible eyelashes. Her usual outfit consists of a white collared shirt with a button that symbolizes the Rainbow Factory where she works, as well as a light grey skirt. She spends most of her time barefoot.

Nicole is the mother of the Watterson family, being the wife of Richard, the biological mother of Gumball and Anais, and the adoptive mother of Darwin. She is the only truly responsible member of the family, doing most of the household chores as well as being the sole breadwinner. Because of the high amount of stress that she endures, she comes off as strict and harsh on occasion. Despite sometimes being hard on her family, she is fiercely dedicated to loving and protecting them above all other things.
