Star Trek: The Animated Series, The Animated Adventures of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek, Star Trek is an animated science fiction series set in the Star Trek Universe following the events of the earlier Star Trek The Original Series from the 1960's. The series featured the vocal talents of most of the original series' cast with the exception of Walter Koenig (Pavel Chekov) due to budget constraints. Instead, Chekov was replaced by semi-regular characters Lieutenant Arex, an Edosian with 3 arms and 3 legs and voiced by James Doohan (Montgomery Scott), and Lieutenant M'ress, a Caitian who was voiced by Majel Barrett (Nurse Christine Chapel).
