Disappointed that I'm still in my early 20s and I can no longer hear the really high pitched noise that certain electronics make.
On the other hand, I can never be blasted with loud high frequency note as a prank anymore.

My thermometer lets out a high pitched beep when it's done. I can't hear it unless it's close to my ear. Not sure if it's cause I have damaged hearing or what. I have to go by the blinking °F on the display. When it stops blinking it's done calculating.

Damn… ☹️

Response or not, I’m so sorry for your loss. We were wondering why you were unavailable for so long…

The question that if I corrode 4 years ago since my introduction into this underworld is, ¿why do we humans? Maybe I will do some research to get to the real reason for this phenomenon, even if it is the last thing I do.

NGL, this has a high copypasta potential. Especially the second paragraph.

not much I can do rn

since my next comment on this site is going to be my 1000th, i've decided to save it for the 4 millionth post

And filehash=$(md5sum /tmp/autocheck.json); filehash=${filehash%% *} is more succinct than that, if you don't mind the two stage processing.

(missed the edit window)

Actually is that wrong? You are running on a non-gnu system, since md5sum is returning entries with the * binary marker without you giving the --binary option. Are you attempting to rename only those files that are detected as binary?

(.. missed the edit window again.)

#!/bin/bash

for filename in $(ls | grep -E "(^|_)[[:digit:]]{13}\.[[:alpha:]]{3,4}$")

cut -d \ -f1

is more succinct than this sed incantation.

newfilename=$(echo $filename | sed -E "s/[[:digit:]]{13}/$filehash/")

What's the meaning of the leading _ which you are (possibly) preserving here?

if mv -n $filename $newfilename
	then
		echo "$filename -> $newfilename"
	fi
done

Could alternatively write this as:

mv -nv $filename $newfilename
done | sed 's/^renamed //'

if it's what I think (you just want a shorter version of the report that mv gives).

#!/bin/bash

for filename in $(ls | grep -E "(^|_)[[:digit:]]{13}\.[[:alpha:]]{3,4}$")
do
	filehash=$(md5sum "$filename" | sed -E "s/ \*.*$//")
	newfilename=$(echo $filename | sed -E "s/[[:digit:]]{13}/$filehash/")
	if mv -n $filename $newfilename
	then
		echo "$filename -> $newfilename"
	fi
done

I'm in mid 30's and can still hear it. Be thankful. If you're in the USA we got malls and stuff installing a device called the mosquito that I can hear from the ROAD. Designed to drive away teenagers 😂

Been using Key Jump extension for Firefox for about a week now. It's so stupidly quicker and easier than clicking on things, I kind of wish Firefox desktop had it built in by default.

(In short: , or . show numeric labels next to most clickable things in the page, you type a number and then that thing is activated. The . version opens it in a new tab.)

The good thing about living in UTC+a bunch is that it's technically already April 1st but I get to live it before any actual foolery happens.

Found the perfect addon for half life black mesa that adds e621 onto the computers ingame the pics used are from 2017

Speaking of AI, people could have an advantage over it simply by how weird and specific they are. I mean, I usually draw for personal use because I haven't found a specific instance of a scenario on the internet. Now, I know you can get super specific with the prompts but then it rarely spits out images exactly how you pictured it in your mind. Also, this is very niche and I'm not bothering to think about more SFW cases.

AI can produce generic content quite easily, but it'll never be able to keep up with the human capacity for sheer deviancy. We are weirdos and degenerates to depths AI can not yet plumb.

Question: Can I get a warning for posting a low quality post? Friend of mine asked me to post his semi-shitpost here and I am afraid to lose my account.

Depends on how shit that shitpost is.

If it meets the uploading guidelines, it will stay.
If it doesn't, it will be deleted.
https://e621.net/help/uploading_guidelines

If it breaks site rules, you will get a warning.
If it doesn't, you won't.

It's not rocket science.

I’m surprised their MSRP is slightly cheaper than most newer Mercs out there. And their guest interior looks like it’s built for a King.

The most recent one is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS all electric ranging from $104,000. (And that’s WITHOUT the Bells & Whistles)

Makes sense considering it's basically a cross between a truck and a limo. I don't believe anyone would actually transport cargo with these, mostly just RV conversions and stuff. Even the one I saw was used as a shuttle bus.

I don't know if some kinks are more accepted now or if there are simply more people creating those contents and more access thereof.

I have fallen into the rabbit hole of Pizza Tower fan comics, and I like how the Peppino/Noise relationship is either "The Noise is little more than a casual nuisance to Peppino" or "Peppino is gonna kill The Noise even if it gets him 20 years in federal prison" with absolutely no middle ground.

Today's the first time in a while i've thought about tomorrow positively.. getting better..Weirdly enough I've begun to use e621 a much more recently. Feels like the opposite of what those nofap guys say.

im trying to find a tag that counts for nude feral art to blacklist, because i dont mind the feral art as long as its not nsfw, but i can only find tags for feral sex, not just nude_feral or something like that, is there a tag im missing?

Bloodline: Heroes of Lithas is portrayed for an Ad on YouTube of a voluptuous anthropomorphic female fox.

It seems that my algorithms are either too conspicuous, or perhaps there is a greater awareness and interest in the furry fandom that's causing YouTube to gain widespread attention…
