All intersex terms are based off visible genitals, not the biology term. If you can see at least a bulge and a cameltoe, it is a herm.

*edit, lazy finger* the prior term about intersex is because there is no rating:safe intersex, so if you can't see evidence of their intersex (can't see the pussy on a cuntboy), but couldn't see it to begin with (the image POV, they're clothed, etc.), you don't tag crossgender as it's a byproduct of our tagging standards.

The question is, do they get the crossgender tag? They have no default gender, after all.

I, legitimately, do not know. I want to say no for simplicity's sake, but that's not up to me.

Neither does dog, cat, penguin, pikachu or most other species for that matter.

Let me rephrase: this is a species known for having none. Say you took a genderless robot, such as AUTO from Wall-E, and stuck a penis on it. Is it crossgender because of that?

I'd say no. The crossgender tag is meant to refer to a character (as in, a named one with a known default gender) being depicted as a gender that is not their default. Genderless is a lack of gender, so changing from genderless to male is not changing from one gender to another. If crossgender could be applied to any member of a normally genderless species, most explicit images containing that genderless species would have a crossgender tag on them.

wow, i just noticed something really strange. there are no hellsing pics tagged nazi or nazi_uniform despite 1 of the 3 main factions in the show being nazis. well, nazi vampires (and a werewolf and whatever schrodinger is) but still, that seems very strange.

also, it raises a question regarding the nazi_uniform tag. which of the following is a nazi_uniform?

post #892885 post #243767 post #243742

all of them, i would think but the 1st one is the SS uniform iirc and the one most commonly referred to as a nazi_uniform. not sure about the catpain and schrodinger's uniforms though that's probably related to their ranks (captain being...a captain and schrodinger being a warrant officer).

so, should they all be tagged as nazi and nazi_uniform with the different types of uniforms aliased to nazi_uniform?

just wanted to mention i'm helping out with the "tag number of participants in a picture" project, as defined by the tags -solo -duo -group -comic -zero_pictured -solo_focus

exclude the solo focus tag from that list because its not meant to be used alone. solo focus tag is meant to be used with duo or group tags. so if post has only solo focus tag, its still missing the character count tag.

Would it be wise to add barefoot to nude tags? Seems a bit redundant if you asked me. You're better off doing solo anthro clothed -footwear -barefoot and then working your way to duo and group.

I'd like to bring this up again. Is there a good, definitive answer that can be added to the wiki? Like GameManiac, I feel like barefoot is redundant on posts of characters that are already nude, and I'd would prefer its inclusion be limited to posts where characters are either clothed, partially_clothed, or topless.

Any thoughts?

one should make a forum post outlining a new definition for barefoot. personally i understand the feet as not always being visible on a nude character, and so appreciate the inclusion of the barefoot tag regardless.

might someone be doing a project to fill in missing info on artist tags? cause post #966096 has 3 different artist tags, all empty (as in, no profile links), no source, and no description explaining anything.

that's actually interesting due to the global artist index only listing artists with info filled in. but when you go to the tag index and look for artists, they don't have links to the artist info. so it's unnecessarily difficult to find and fix missing info.

e621:ratings has been updated. Seems much clearer now, but it also means that there's a lot of clean up needed.

Such as everything in rating:safe ~gore ~vore ~blood. I'll start by tackling the ones that are currently locked to safe. Could definitely use some help with the rest.

Not sure how imminent_vore should be rated. It implies vore, so by the current guidelines those would also be... questionable?

I'll work on diaper rating:safe -young tomorrow, but I'll have to make a list of posts in that the being doesn't appear to be an adult either.

I am irritated in the lack of context the rating decision has, I don't feel that ageplay should be listed under questionable, but I don't have any true say in the matter; it's my opinion and nothing more.

ok, so i'm finally getting around to that Dori Green sonic the hedgehog comic again and i'm gonna need help with at least 3 things.

1. character names because, despite having played the majority of the games over the years, i still don't know all character names and some may be OC or from the comic and in the comics case i have no idea.

2. gender and nightmare fuel tagging but mainly during the Chaos Sonic section (starts around page 80).

3. if necessary, copyright tagging...as needed.

Might need to be careful there. There are other factors that would still be safe, like a feral that belongs to a species that can't be housetrained, or if someone is paralyzed.

Someone should've checked all of these ages ago. I had no idea that there were so many anatomically correct dildos in safe, etc. Cleaned the sex toys out of there, at least.

bondage rating:safe is an another combo that needs to be checked. There's over 400 of those... Lot of which are probably just mistagged bound instead of actual bondage.

I'm not doing it yet, I'm discussing some things about ageplay and infantilism with Notme so I won't make mistakes and might honor the wishes to keep them separate... mostly.

i was looking around and came across this artist tag. redoxx

should that tag have the _(colorist) suffix? because that person isn't the actual artist of many, if any, of the posts they've colored and it seems odd to have 2 artist tags on all of those posts.

I've cleaned about 95% of rating:safe bondage, but haven't made much progress with the remaining posts. Gonna need someone else to take a look at it, for a fresh perspective.

Bondage is for sexualized content, but I'm not sure which of those are fetishy enough to be bumped up to questionable, and which ones should have the bondage and bdsm tags removed.

um... i'm not sure which tags should be removed from

fibrekitty seems to be the one who commissioned the pic and since commissioners don't usually get tage that one can go but what about fibby, fibre, optics, servers, and whatever transhuman is supposed to imply?

as for that nvidia copyright tag... i'll leave that to someone more tech savvy to sort out.

just something i found while browsing around before bed. speaking of which good...morning?

Updated by anonymous

o_O good_boy? should this be kept or removed? i...removed it on a few posts before stopping to think and ask here (oops) but it seems to be only on posts with the text "good boy" visible in the pic and i don't really see how something so subjective could be TWYS as this seems more like a subjective opinion based tag than something actually visible. unless we start tagging words seen as text in posts that is. then it would work.

the "living inflatable" tag (yes that a thing) is close to 400 but is still classified as a normal tag. I think it should be
reclassified as a species under the animate inanimate tag

That would require each living_inflatable to be reclassified as a hybrid, which I'm not sure fits the intent of that tag.

I'd vote against it. living_inflatable seems to me to be more a characteristic of individuals (like purple_fur) than a type of creature.

Edit: although, having living_inflatable implicate to animate_inanimate would make sense... In which case hybridization would be an accurate description... hmm. This is more tricky than I first thought.

Although the wiki pages don't specify it, a lot of posts are tagged with !, !?, and ... based on the actual letters being present in dialogue. I'm in favor of keeping good_boy, as long as those exact words are present in text.

May cause some issues with users who assume that good_boy can apply to any form of pet_play, but that seems unlikely.

edit: oh, look, this one has both:

Why would it need a hybrid tag? To me it's similar to taur or animal_humanoid where it's a species modifier rather than it's own stand-alone thing but that doesn't make it a hybrid.

Considering we have things like living_aircraft or goo_creature classified as species i dont see why living_inflatable shouldnt be ether. And there is no reason for hybrid to be implicated as not all inflatables will be part animal or even resemble a animal species

should we add the "old_toon" tag to cup-head related images since the artwork are heavily influenced by the 30s style of artwork?

Only if it's in the rubberhose/fleischer-esque art style.

The animal_penis tags could maybe use some review of if they're all even necessary. The issues I'm seeing with some of them are a combination of 'too broad' and 'references are too obscure for 90% of people drawing them' (marsupial_penis and mustelid_penis fall into this) while others just don't have enough identifying features to distinguish them from more vague shape terms when they're present on a different species (a cetacean_penis on a non-cetacean is indistinguishable from a tapering_penis). Considering that most of these tags aren't super well-used anyway, anatomically_correct_penis+the species could probably suffice.

Howdy y'all,

As I'm not active here anymore aside of the occasional browsing, yet still occasionally get a message about this thread.. I'd like to update the original post!

Obviously I'm gonna mention that I am not the best person to contact on the matter... is there a better person that I can direct others to?

The original post is, I think, valuable for the information about how one CAN help... but I imagine... I hope.. that after SIX YEARS one or two of the projects I mentioned have been finished :) So I should remove--or relocate-- the information on said projects. (for example, ratings always need to have an eye kept on them. But I'm pretty sure that what's been said about magic users is moot and pointless.)

I can't update stuff it regularly, but I can try to make the post more useful--perhaps by pointing to another post with more up to date information.

Man, I kinda miss this place, until I remember how much time I spent arguing about porn. Wish I still had that kinda time.

But yeah--this is your place. What can I do with my posts at the start of this thread to make stuff better for everyone else?

tag question: post #1185912
seems to depict three characters from We Bare Bears dressed as characters from Mekko Rarekko.

Was going to change tag from cross-over to crossover,
but wondering... use cosplay tag (instead of crossover tag) for that image?

edit: since artist is unknown (and trying Google image search doesn't help) is unclear if artist intended the brown bear to be the bear from WBB or Yamano from Mekko Rarekko.
if is Yamano, then tag as crossover
if is Grizzly from WBB, then cosplay???

(by the way, can't think of an answer to SnowWolf's question)

Since this got bumped, my current project is going through all the artists I've linked on my profile (about 100) for missing gender, body type, and character count tags while reviewing said artists' content for a summarizing table to go on my profile. It's slow-going because I'm also tagging everything else I feel is missing. If I can "solve the mystery of a post" or add some clarity through incisive tags, or if I can populate some underused or obscure tags, then I consider that worth doing. I may be averaging 15 added tags or more per post.

Wandered across two tags:
1) welts (no wiki), 4 posts (+ 4 deleted)
and
2) whip_marks (no wiki), "243" posts

(one welt at https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/welt is
"A raised mark on the body caused by a blow; a wheal or weal.")

whip_marks seems like better tag
because there are other kinds of welts.

(All four posts tagged with welts seem to be whipping_marks , so there any objection to just removing welts tag from those posts?

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/welt has other welts (doubt any will get their own e621 tag)

1) "To roll; revolve"

2) "(shoemaking) A strip of leather set into the seam between the outsole of a shoe and the upper, ..." (presumably related to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goodyear_welt )

3) "A strip of material or covered cord applied to a seam or garment edge to strengthen or cover it."

4) "In steam boilers and sheet-iron work, a strip riveted upon the edges of plates that form a butt joint."

5) "In carpentry, a strip of wood fastened over a flush seam or joint, or an angle, to strengthen it."

6) "In machine-made stockings, a strip, or flap, of which the heel is formed." (mentioned in forum #17583 post)

7) also a (heraldry) definition, but really doubt that will get tagged.

was gonna make a thread like this. this one's listed in a sticky thread so I posted here instead of being redundant(I think that's the preferred option?). curious what others might be working on or what other projects might be out there, especially ones that are over the 750 page mark(75 images per page). are there a lot of these 750+ ones?

1. looking_back -rear_view

  • mostly shows pictures of untagged rear_view posts: >750 pages

2. breasts -big_breasts -small_breasts -medium_breasts -breast_squish -rear_view

  • mostly pictures with untagged breast sizes: >750 pages

3. mistagged "solo" posts
solo female penis -trasformation: 49 pages
male solo breasts -transformation: 29 pages
male female solo -transformation: 50 pages
intersex male solo -transformation: 5 pages
intersex female solo -transformation: 6 pages

  • pictures that are mistagged: penis instead of dildo, female instead of instead of intersex, solo instead of solo_focus, etc. or missing a transformation tag : ~140 pages

4. female anthro -breasts -flat_chested -rear_view rating:e

  • for most pics one of the subtracted tags is missing: >750 pages

Yeah, it's better to use a sticked one, or one linked like this is, if you're unsure of which thread's best to post in.

forum #271663 has quite a lot of other projects, certainly -zero_pictured -solo -duo -group has 750+ pages of posts without a character count..

You should probably post these to that thread as well, just because it's slightly better formatted and in case people check there instead of here.

i feel like it might be appropriate to sticky a thread like that one and the "do we have a tag for that" thread forum #225049 for easy access and better visibility
