When one of a character's orifices is stretched wide open, without an object being present inside of the orifice to "gape" it.

This usually indicates that a penis, dildo, or anal beads (or other objects) were recently inserted into the orifice and have just been removed; gaping can also apply to a character's orifice being "gaped" by use of their fingers, as long as the orifice is stretched open wide.

Notes

• If fingers or a device (e.g. a speculum) are used to cause the orifice to gape, it should be tagged as spreading and the appropriate spread_(orifice) tag
• gaping mouth may be considered separate from the gaping concept, as the mouth can be "made to gape" by opening the mouth wider than usual, rather than having the orifice stretched by an external force.
