reaching towards viewer
post #3086424 post #2633541 post #2298057 post #3221299
A character reaching one (or both) of their hands out towards the viewer.
Depending on context, pose, and position of the character's hand(s), this gesture can indicate many things:
- the character is inviting the viewer to join them
- the character wants the viewer to take or hold their hand
- the character is indicating they want a hug from, or are about to embrace the viewer
- the character is reaching out to grab or attack the viewer
- the character is presenting themselves or an object to the viewer, or offering an object in their hand(s)
This tag may involve a first person view, when the limbs of the perspective character are visible, or the focal character in the scene appears to be making contact with the viewer. It can also involve breaking the fourth wall if the character reaches out of frame, touches the "fourth wall", or acknowledges the fictional nature of the image in some other way.
